Are there any expected/known issues with PHP 8.4?

while trying to import new products (csv import) I get the following:

None of the new products gets imported with images.

I know its not an issue with the login or password. And ive even tried creating an additional admin user but that still doesn't allow login. And trying from a different browser and still the same results.
If i restore my 1.4.0 install from backups this allows access to the admin login again. So it definitely something that's happening during the upgrade procedure.

I have 2 stores running TB 1.4.0 on different servers and the one running on Ubuntu with PHP 8.1 upgraded without this issue and allows me login to the admin after the upgrade.
But the other which runs on Oracle Linux and PHP 8.0 is the one i am having issues with.

The only error i got when running the core updater is one that say:

Duplicate entry 'compile' for key 'PRIMARY' 

Other than this error above and the login issue everything else works fine after the upgrade, but obviously not being able to access the admin interface is a major sticking point meaning im unable to upgrade to newer than1.4.0. So any help would be appreciated.

I updated to the 1.6 version and when I tried to do a csv import of a spreadsheet I got a server error 500.  I reverted to version 1.5.1 and the upload went through with no problems.

Failed to send email: SMTP Error: Could not connect to SMTP host. Connection failed. stream_socket_enable_crypto(): Peer certificate CN=`*.exacthost.nl' did not match expected CN=`mail.gquipment.com'

I also checked the email database settings but can't find a reference to 'exacthost.nl'. But to be honest, I don't understand what the problem is.

What can I do?

The file is correct: almost the same as before. I think there is something else blocking indexion but I am not able to understand what is it.

I checked Geolocation: it was disabled but also enabling it with MaxMind nothing change.

Because it will take a while for my service provider to sort things out, I changed the default to : public $SMTPAutoTLS = false; in PHPMailer.php.

Shouldn't it be an option, to facilitate these kind of situations?

I hope that I'm wrong because that would mean that I have to redo every product picture in the shop. What am I missing? BTW,  I'm using the community theme.

I upgraded from TB 1.08 to 1.1

All seemed fine, then I found out to have to see the order status page in order to have the database fixed creating two columns that core updater still does not do

However further testing i discovered that in the checkout process having the native OPC activated I get a 500 internal error page.

In the error message there is a link to download an encrypted error log, how can I decrypt it to read the content?

So I switched to the 5 steps checkout, this work, but the custom payments I created are shown four times each.

I do use transformer theme.

What should I look at to give you more info?

What can I do to fix this?

So I have an interesting one. Brand new install (Downloaded this morning and installed v1.5.1 for PHP 8.1. It shows, BeesBlog, CoreUpdater and Block Newsletter need to be updated. So do the normal run of updating them, however the back office still shows it needs to be updated. When I look at the file in the modules folder. It seems it has been updated. Just back office is not recognizing it.

Is there perhaps a specific PHP module that I may be missing?

Module 'thirty bees Updater' [tbupdater] is not compatible with target version of thirty bees

v1.6.7 - This is the Updater Version I have, it doesn't seem to be updatable further than that.

ALSO: PANDA- Apparently Sunny has released an update of Panda, is this true, does it work ok?

I am working on a test site and updated my Thirtybees version 1.3 to 1.4.

Did the core updater also for database and applied all the fixes and all good.

I wanted to check older Prestashop modules compatibility under PHP8.1 from PHP7.4 to see if they would also be compatible, the core updater said that I needed to updated the Thirtybees so I did.

Some of my older modules are not PHP8.1 compatible,  so now, if I go back to my host and set my site back to PHP7.4, I get this error message when accessing my backoffice: "Composer detected issues in your platform: Your Composer dependencies require a PHP version ">= 8.1.0". "

So now the only way to have access to my backoffice is to set my shop to be on version PHP8.1, no way to go back to PHP7.4, this basically broke my shop that was working fine under PHP7.4 with Thirtybees 1.4.

Any advise to solve this problem would be appreciated.

Things first went wrong when I updated the modules and got a 500 error. Enabling debug mode didn't work. I next downloaded the file in the logs directory and saw that there was something wrong (unexpected 'Settings') with the collectlogs module. I deleted this module and then could finish this step.

Next I went to Coreupdater. That gave a message that I was using PHP version 7.3 that was not compatible with the newest TB version. So I upgraded my PHP to 8.1. However, the Coreupdater page kept showing that I had version 7.3. Emptying the cache didn't help. I went to the Advanced Parameters->Configuration Information page. That showed 7.3 too. However, after a page refresh it showed 8.1. However, when I went back to Coreupdater it still showed 7.3. Only a considerable time later this message disappeared.

What still keeps puzzling me is that I don't see a choice between stable and bleeding edge. Has that disappeared?

The new smarty cache menu says it can use the system cache.  Which one does it use?  APCu?  Memcache(d)? Redis?  Does it still work if you do not select one of them in the menu below?  If so, what cache does it use?  If not, why does it not tell you that it will not use the server cache if you do not select anything below?

If system cache is used, why are there files generated in the cache folder?  Why, even if I delete them (like I used to do when I made changes that would not appear), why are there changes that do not appear yet others do.  Stuck in the system cache?  But even clearing the cache does not fix them.  They eventually clear up much later.  I thought it was due to browser cache, but that does not always work either.

Anyways, just trying to understand the logic and what it now uses so that I can flush them better when I try new things.

I fixed everything I knew about.  Some above are modules related.  But some I have no clue if they were there before and no longer useful or remnants of modules we no longer use, etc.

I will list below the ones that are still puzzling me:

- Extra column id_last_order in table tb_employee.
- Extra column id_last_customer_message in table tb_employee.

- Extra column id_last_customer in table tb_employee.

I believe those are from a module we no longer use but I am not 100% sure.  Just want to know if it is safe to fix as I no longer have a module that targets employees.

- Extra column order_note in table tb_orders.
Always had this functionality as far as I can remember.  So not sure about this one.

- Extra column updated_var_price in table tb_product and Extra column final_price in table tb_product_shop.

I thought that was in the older TB database.  Does not seem connected to any modules.

And this one:

- Extra column hide_host_mode in table tb_tab.

I have no idea what this one if for.

Any help is appreciated.
 

When I try to update TB to 1.5.0, it results in server error 500.

I have tried to deactivate all modules without any luck.

How do I troubleshoot this issue?

Just migrated a store from prestashop to TB. After the migration TB recommended hundreds of database fixes - took like 45 min to apply them all. Would be great with a "Apply all" - button. More nice to have than need to have, but still 😀
