I have been operating a second-hand children's bookshop for a couple of years. The site is My Children's Books. Over the last year, we have a fairly good conversion rate for the target market. 

We are doing quite well with the search engines and have a few good quality backlinks. I would welcome any suggestions for boosting traffic and increasing the conversion rate. 

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

so nobody has really used this sub-forum before? Well, then I'd like to give it a try :) Even though I'm not sure how much sense it will make since I want to talk about a German page...

There is a client I'm working with for many years now but still their business hasn't been that successful. I guess it's mostly because they had no clear "message" and strategy other than being just another catfood. Anyways, I gave it a little make-over and therefore switched to thirty bees. www.canelis.de

One of the most important Updates is this landing-page: canelis.de/was-ist-gutes-hochwertiges-katzenfutter Which should tell the customer what makes a good catfood and why Canelis is so good. I'm struggling a little with it's google rank - can't get better than ~43 (keyword "hochwertiges Katzenfutter" = high quality catfood). But I'm not sure why. The competition isn't that good... Any ideas how I can improve the rank in an organic fashion?

And any general thoughts?

For the most part my newish site is mostly functional, not great UI at the moment.

There's things that I'm sure arent right and could well be better for users.

Maybe there's things I can very easily change to make it look better and be more logical and helpful., Im open to suggestions

 

There are some errors that seem obvious to me, but its more my lack of understanding I'm sure than the site itself.

Only one of my categories is there, despite me ticking for them all to be there

The information panel isnt visible on the home page, its only visible if I click this category https://product.solutions.org.nz/car-and-boat-parts-and-accessories

The information panel contains "Our Stores" which I have no idea where that comes from, but it shouldnt be there, we are online only. It just presents users with a failed Google API page and I want it gone.

The information panel doesn't contain some of the pages I created in Preferences/ CMS, and which are ticked as "Yes" as Displayed.

 

I'd like some of the CMS info to be available as a say a footer on all pages..?

- Optimized it for mobile

- added v3 fancybox with swipe function

- added side bars with buttons on nav-bar

- used block-categories-footer for mobile sidebar category menu (didn't manage to integrate stock into both views without having issues)

- added colapsable footer

So, it's very early stages obviously, the designer is working on the appearance etc, no need to feedback about that.

I am interested in your opinions of the sales processes and potential places to improve conversion, especially on mobile. Right now most things are either the same as they were before or as default in 30 bees. I am making a list of plugins and tweaks I want and I would love your thoughts and ideas on this. So: how do we make more money and convert more?
