It's a very interesting discussion here. I can understand both positions. It's really a chicken-egg game.

But imo there is a huge game changer: AI.

It has become way more simple and fast to write code. I am also not aware of the plans/roadmap of TB. But with the new AI tools, it's even possible for no coders to start modifying some stuff. Ofc it's always better, if you have some basic coding knowledge, otherwise you might mess things up. Even if you aren't brave enough to use AI yourself: I would guess, that prices for a custom module will come down a lot.

@datakick what is your experience with AI these days? I would say it has speed up my developing work about 3-5 times. It's hard to tell, but it's for sure huge. The first time I have the feeling, that my todo-list may become shorter 🫣

Customer loyalty and rewards - points for discounted products

I'm writing about the module Customer loyalty and rewards v3.1.0.

I have "No" set for the option "Give points on discounted products". However, now orders for products are apparently also denied points (the product page says "No reward points for this product because there's already a discount") if the product has a volume discount even when the customer does not order enough to qualify for the volume discount.

Shouldn't this not be the case? The customer isn't getting a discount when they don't qualify for the volume discount.

Welp, I made my 1st and 2nd attempts at using github, folking modules and modifying them and then pushing them back then doing a pull request. Guess I'll find out if I did it right or not.....

Let's discuss how to translate recent 30bz core and modules changes?

As far as i see, the your crowdin account does not reflects current state. As a quick decision, is it possible to make a subproject in the github (like thirtybees/translations) to allow people dl needed files in one bundle and then translate/install it on their 30bz instances?

Is the forum thirtybees already in google playstore / App Store ...?

In order for communication easier and easier to read something new in tbs forum on smartphones like reading the status on facebook. I think if it does not exist, we have forum tbs suggestions in the form of apps in google playstore / app store.

And I have a suggestion to contribute a lower growth tbs of at least $ 0.5 / month or at least volunteers because each store has its own financial limitations and is influenced by the value of the currency in each country.

And better yet all the donations are free or voluntary, if the store develops can be increased for the contribution of each individual consciousness, because I understand in this world nothing is free except breathe air hehehe ...: P
