Help test new version of stripe module

Stripe is deprecating old source api soon, so we had to rewrite the module, and migrate all payment methods to use new PaymentIntents api. The rewrite is quite significant change, so I'd like to ask everyone to help with testing before we officially release it.

This new version also fixes couple of old bugs (related to webhooks, refunds, etc)

I have noticed that many customers do not actually read the text of the various payment methods but just look at the symbols. Which is why many do not realise we offer credit card payments and are unhappy. I think it would be a good idea to change the Stripe module logo with a credit card logo. Is this something @datakickwould want to introduce into the module or is it for the individual store owner?

Klarna payments?

Are there any plans for Klarna to be added as a payment method for the Stripe module? I think Klarna has gotten quite common and many online stores and services are using it.
Until it got added by default.....is there a way to manually add Klarna to the Stripe module?

I got this email from Stripe about the tb native Stripe module rearding required changes. Will tb be updating the module and perhaps also adding other payment methods?

We’re reaching out about changes that are required to your Stripe integration. You are currently accepting giropay, Przelewy24, iDEAL payments using the Sources API, a legacy integration that will be deprecated on May 15, 2024. Starting May 15, all non-card source types will be turned off on the Sources API. In order to continue accepting giropay, Przelewy24, iDEAL, you’ll need to upgrade to the Payment Intents API.

How to update your integration

Follow the instructions in our Docs to upgrade to the Payment Intents API, and then add giropay, Przelewy24, iDEAL to your payment flow. You can visit the Stripe Dashboard to view your recent Sources payments and confirm that you have no remaining traffic on Sources once your migration is complete.

If you choose not to update your integration, we recommend that you remove giropay, Przelewy24, iDEAL from your checkout to avoid customer-facing breakages.

please note that Stripe has released new API version 2022-08-01, which is NOT COMPATIBLE with current stripe module.

You can check what API version is selected for your account in stripe dashboard:

I see that Apple Pay is supposed to already work with the tb version. But I'm not able to get it to show. Has anybody else succeeded in getting it to show in the checkout?

...says I can refund the full amount but no more, which is what I want to do because I want to refund someone's return postage.

CAD currency setting being charged as US by Stripe

I successfully set up the Stripe module and payment are processing in my thirtybees 1.2.0. However, my customers are being charged as US funds by Stripe. the Stripe support I have been able to find suggests there are no currency settings at Stripe, that the currency charged is set at the cart. My localization is set to Canada, and Canadian currency is set as my default. (images attached). I'm not sure where to begin to fix this. Any suggestions? Thank you!

Hi,

I'm setting up the Stripe module and everything works fine except for the final step (the order confirmation page displayed to the customer).

This is the URL causing problems: /gb/module/stripe/validation?type=checkout

The order is generated properly and the payment status is correct.
Payment is received in Stripe.
Email is sent to the customer.

I'm using:

Nginx/1.10.3
PHP 7.4.

Notes/ideas:

The backoffice tells me about a problem with TLS 1.2 (Install TLS v1.2 support on your server.). Could this be related to it?
Could the 'gb' at the beginning of the URL what is causing problems? (/gb/module/stripe/validation?type=checkout)

Hi, guys!

A few weeks ago I knew about the next changes on all payment ways, the Strong Customer Authenticacion (SCA). I received an email from Stripe and I know we'll need PayPal and other modules updates to this new legal requirements.

From next September will be required on all payments mades from a card, so my question is if anyone is working on this thing or if we need to ask someone to do it.

webhooks stripe configuration

Hello,

I have noticed that stripe did not update statuses of some payments. e.g via German payments methods e.g Sofort Banking. Some take some time.

To use it it need to be configured webhooks.

Is there any docs/info how to do that?

I'm getting a 500 server error message at the "Card verified, redirecting" stage.

I've copied the error code, which looks like def5020***. If it's safe to do so, I can post it here.

I'm using the latest Stripe API and the logs in the Stripe account don't show anything. The customer is captured, but the payment isn't.

Any idea how to troubleshoot?

mobile browsers, mobile phones - stripe problems

Hello, I have old stripe but I have noticed problems with stripe during usage stripe via mobile phones.

I have test iOS and Androids and I can reproduce problems.

Unfortunately I can not find a developer tools for mobile browsers. Any solution for that?

Regards browsers the works results are for mobile Firebox, for PC Firefox everything is OK. Sometimes there is problem with Chrome.

I am not using the newest version but I am wondering if you have made a tests.

The problem looks like

there is no limit to put 16 numbers for card number. exp date not like 12/19 but 222222 or 1234 /

there is no errors on prestashop side or on stripe. Sometimes even numbers are correct there is info.
