Thirty Bees GDPR module

  • @SnowyCat , thank you for replying.
Does it have an estimated release data?

  • @uvea ,

No, as soon as it’s finished it will be announced on the forum and blog.

    Regards

  • Have been trying “1.0.0” from git hub, looks great. Keep up the awesome work!

  • Hi,
Can we call this module dead or is it still worth waiting for ?

  • I read that @mdekker got it with a burn out.
I wish him a speedy recovery and speak from experience -> head up.

But how do you continue with the module?
Even @SnowyCat is about 2 months without comment on this topic, still in the whole forum to see. 😞

  • This looks puzzling. If you copy the project to your Modules directory it immediately crashes your TB. You don’t even need to install it. The crash says that it is missing some directory. Some research gave that at least two directories (“Vendor” and “Installation”) are missing.

I had hoped that there was at least something that I or someone else could work on. But this looks like an unfinished Symfony project of which only a part of the files has been uploaded.

  • The git repository is not always a valid module. Quite often some build script is required to compile module zip file from source code

  • @datakick said in Thirty Bees GDPR module:

Is there anything that can be done to fix this? ie. make the git repository modules (and core) valid?

Such behavior puzzled me in the beginnings as well. It’s true, the main module file gets loaded by module handling code, even with the module uninstalled.

In this case one has to run a ./build.sh to get the missing pieces. Which in turn requires composer and npm to be installed on the operating system.

P.S.: Alternative is to move the module aside, of course. That’s why I have a folder modules.off right next to folder modules. Moving module source code into another folder is sufficient to make the module harmless.

  • Is this the module from GitHub (tbgdpr)
Was looking for 1 today for my site. Tried to install but nothing showed up
    thanks
