URGENT: Problem with a module with TB 1.0.8 (used to work fine under 1.0.7)

I am having an issue with a backend module for import of CSV files. It used to work fine under 1.0.7, now it is being very temperamental under 1.0.8.

Buttons to upload files disappear, options disappear, etc.

This is an essential module for running out shop so we need to get it back to working form yesterday as we are not able to update our weekly reception of new merchandise without it. Any help or direction to try and resolve this is appreciated.

@wakabayashi unfortunately it's a real problem in tb core with incorrect escaping of configuration value. This module stores serialized json object into configuration table. Due to improper escaping, this json can't be decoded when read back from the configuration. That triggers cascade of errors and problems, one of them manifests as smarty notices. But the module is indeed unusable because of this bug

@wakabayashi I understand enough to know when I am in debug mode or not. The issues I am having directly affect the visual representation of the module, with portions disappearing and reappearing (I assume because of the cache issues) and some options literally missing. This was not a problem in 1.0.7 - we use this module at least once a week and it we never had a problem until this week after upgrading - that is when I put in the debug mode to see where the problem was.
