@lesley I've tried both blocksearch.css and tried targeting that element, but I still can't see any changes. The only change I can see is by deleting everything in
theme/modules/blocksearch/blocksearch.css
, it will move the search bar up slightly. -
I wish to make a few styling changes to the theme myself, but it seems that any editing I do doesn't apply. It's clear the issue lies with me and I'm looking in the wrong places, so I'd like some help with direction. For example, I'd like to give this search bar a curved border with
border-radius: 4px;
or something similar. I've tried editing css intheme/css/global.css
,theme/modules/blocksearch/blocksearch.css
,theme/css/modules/blocksearch/blocksearch.css
andstore/modules/blocksearch/blocksearch.css
but it doesn't seem to work. Where should I be looking exactly? -
@vzex Ah, thank you so much! I thought the theme settings were deciding things to appear on the sidebar, not which pages the sidebar would appear on. Much my mistake, thank you.

Forgive me for my naivety, I don't have any experience from Prestashop to carry over. Using the default community theme, I'd like to have a sidebar/column to display a tree of product categories on the front page, as well as a small box for links at the side of the page, next to the current "New Arrivals" and Custom CMS as shown below. How would I go about doing this? I can tell you I've tried enabling/disabling things in the advanced settings of the theme and have looked through all the modules and their settings to try and find a way to but can't so far.

@lesley Ah, thank you! I hadn't thought about caching, and there was caching on the server. Sorry for the time waster.
