Whats with the admin login url thing?

First time I tried 1.6, took me ages to login. Whats with the admin folder renaming thing? Is that REALLY necessary for security? Wordpress does not do that, for example.

It is absolutely a security issue. It is a randomly generated string of letters and numbers after admin. This ensures no one can just wind up on your administrative page and start trying logins and breaking in. It actually bothers me about wordpress, as all you do is /wp-login/ and everyone knows exactly what you running and what exploits to start trying.... make it harder for them :)

@annafjmorris Rename it to something very secure, as you would create a password for a bank account, for example.
