  1. @x97wehner said in Theme Settings => advanced settings for product page missing:

    I had this issue as well. The fix is in the bottom of this feed if you're comfortable touching your database. https://forum.thirtybees.com/topic/915/can-t-remove-hide-disable-right-and-left-columns-in-my-product-and-cms-pages

    Cool, thank you! However it doesn't seem to work for me. I have searched the meta table and changed the column "configurable" from 0 to 1 for cms, product and category. It doesn't change anything. The pages won't appear under advanced settings for the theme. What am I doing wrong?

  2. You can move the header links to the left by changing the css global.css line 4095 remove or comment out the float: right !important .navbar-right { // float: right !important;

    then add

    header-navbar { position: relative; }

    to your css

    and finally add

    blockuserinfo-login { position: absolute; right: 0; }

    this should give you the desired position in the desktop view. You will probably have to adjust css for mobile views. ...

  3. Could you provide a link by any chance so that we can see the source code?

    P.S. I have watched at the source code of your prestashop link in your profile. Here you have uploaded a transparent png file type but this file has a .jpg ending. If your file is a png file it should also have a .png ending. I can imagine that this is the reason for your error. If a file is a transparent .png file then you should name it as .png and not as .jpg. A mishmash of file name and file type is an invitation for errors.

  4. I think editing should be allowed and deleting not. If somebody is misusing the editing function I trust these will be excemptions and the forum will survive a single case. This has never been a problem in the prestashop forum so why should it become a problem here? As I said before it could be that somebody has to delete a link and if the post was just "here is the link" than yes editing could mean altering nearly the whole content, but it could be explained. Sometimes this can be necessary.

  5. Hi, though I understand that yellow is part of the corporate identity of thirtybees I would like to suggest to change the font color in the backend from yellow to a darker color with more contrast. Yellow on white is really hard to read and to be honest each time I am working in the backend I am a bit annoyed about the yellow font color. Am I the only one?

    p.s. just discovered that I can change the admin theme in the user settings. So I will play around with these settings and try if I find a more convenient color scheme. Nevertheless I think that the first impression is quite important and I don't think that yellow font on white color is provides a good first impression.

    However if TB is going to block deleting (which has already been done) then something has to be done about editing. It's purely symbolic to remove the delete function when users can effectively delete their posts anyway.

    I wouldn't see it so pessimistic. I suggest to wait and see if this is really necessary. Just a possible scenario ... let's say I have posted the link to the shop of a client and the client wants the link to be removed. Wouldn't it be a pain not being able to edit the post then? We are all grown up people and even in the prestashop forum being able to edit posts has never ended up in empty posts. It's just the delete function that invites deleting posts.

  7. @dynambee said in Can we disallow deleting posts, please?:

    I agree that allowing editing has benefits. I like Reddit's system where users can always edit or delete posts, but I realize it's not always ideal.

    However if users can always edit their posts there is no point in blocking deleting. As I demo'd above a message can be effectively deleted by editing it and removing the content.

    I think the advantages of being able to edit posts weigh more than the possibility that somebody may use the system to completely remove the content. If there is an option to delete the post it is an invitation to delete. This should be removed. A misuse of the edit function should be the exemption and is not the end of the world. Just my 2c.

  8. @dynambee said in Can we disallow deleting posts, please?:

    Perhaps edits should be allowed for up to 30 minutes after posting and then the posts should be locked. That gives people enough time to fix typos and other errors but makes sure the post record is properly kept over the long term

    I think editing posts is useful (sometimes information change over time and it is helpful being able to update the post). I find it always annoying if there is a time limit and I cannot change something that needs to be altered later. For example in the csv thread there are a lot of deleted posts because the link to the csv file changed. This could be easily avoided if the link can be updated whenever it is necessary.

  9. @RaptorX I understand what you mean. But it could create problems if 30bz becomes too different from PS. Many other modules that were developed for PS may not be compatible anymore. And many rely on being able to use their PS modules. Beside this I can imagine that it would need a lot more of developers.

    My store just have ~500 products (there are stores with thousands of products) at a given time but boy that is a pain

    I used the export products module which enables me to export all existing products in a csv file which is in the right format for being re-imported again. Then I can make any changes in the csv file and reimport them. https://oavea.com/free-prestashop-modules/2-export-products-free-prestashop-module.html

    I haven't tried it with 30bz though. But maybe this could be a solution for you too?

    @marci123 said in Please delete my account: Again IMHO, they just hasn't enough time to rule everything. And in this situation i could understand, when @Traumflug's answers oftenly could appear non-friendly/non-adequate.

    Actually I haven't read a post by Traumflug which I felt was really inappropriate on the other hand I found a number of posts by occam quite picky. I think being a slave to rules is not helpful either. But that's just my impression ...

  12. @raptorx said in Please delete my account:

    The answer even though accurate just let us know that "nobody cares, go to another place and bother someone else because I cant, he cant and nobody cant do anything about it"... so I think his response was completely understandable given the context of Thirty Bees.

    I don't have this impression of this community. It is probably some kind "what goes around comes around". occam himself was very strict critizising people if posting in the "wrong" language.

  13. @raptorx said in Please delete my account:

    In most forums the moderator who deletes a user post makes an Edit and shortly explains why the post was deleted... This makes it easy to identify who deleted the post (as to avoid this kind of misunderstandings) and give a clear reason for why so the user doesnt believe it was for personal reasons.

    @raptorx by now we don't know who deleted what. Traumflug said he didn't delete anything and Lesley said that Traumflug doesn't have the capability to delete posts of other users. Users can only delete their own posts which would mean that it was occam who deleted his own posts. THis is why I too think it would be good to disable the "delete" function. Maybe he deleted his post by mistake and now thinks anybody else did it. We don't know ...
