One trick that helped was clearing cache and checking if any image optimization apps were interfering. Also, while troubleshooting, I stumbled on some cool tips about SPAM_LINK on a blog and got inspired to upgrade my setup.

I fixed it by clearing the image cache and regenerating thumbnails in the back office under Design > Image Settings. That brought back the correct product images.

hey, folks...necropost but., did anyone find a solid fix for this yet? I’m running into the same issue and wondering if it’s tied to missing image types or some caching problem. Has anyone tried rebuilding thumbnails or checking file permissions on the img folder?
