  1. Hey guys!

Just migrated my PS 1.6 store to TB, looks good so far!

I'm setting up the new PayPal module, but I'm not able to get anything to show up in the "Confirmation payment" window at checkout. What could the problem be?

Also, is there a way to make it work like the old module where the customer gets redirected to PayPals site for login and payment?

  2. @mdekker Hey Mike! Good to see you again as well :)

I have no idea what they run their hosting on, actually. It's cloudways.com that Lesley has been advocating: https://thirtybees.com/blog/thirty-bees-on-cloudways/

I'll rollback to a backup before the failed migration attempt, reset permissions, try again and then update here! :)

  3. Hey guys!

Copied my Prestashop 1.6 install to Cloudways. After finishing, I installed the migration module and let it run.

Unfortunately it failed during the database upgrade and I've ended up with a half-broken install.

That's OK though, I can easily roll back with Cloudways and try again - but do you guys have any idea what can be done to avoid the failure and perform a successful migration?

Here's a screenshot of what happened, I've also attached the full migration log here: 01496955982485migration.log

(plus all the useless analytics modules) has got to go.

What do you mean with this? Google Analytics?

@MockoB said in How is going?:

I think he means that he will use just GA and all other by default statistic modules are completely useless! Actually I just need "available quantities" and "shop search" statistics. Maybe we need "how to" where it is explained how to disable every possible statistic modules without break the shop :)

Yes, I meant exactly what MockoB said.

Nice work  Are the first 10 ids in category default or why do you skip?

I hope ThirtyBees will deliver a clean installation soon. I hate this default/demo stuff...

+1 on the clean installation. Default/demo stuff (plus all the useless analytics modules) has got to go.

  6. @wakabayashi said in Eager to migrate from Prestashop 1.6:

Michael Dekker is working on "auto" migration. You should wait till this module is out.

When it's out keep in mind, that you should always make backups before you do a migration. I always make a clone of my live shop and then proceed it (upgrate/migartion) first there and see what happens.

Thanks for the response! Ok, got it - I've worked with Michael before, he's a great guy. Gonna sit tight for the migration module, then!

Regarding doing a clone of the live shop - what's your favorite way of doing so? I don't want to end up with multiple database copies that I don't know which one is live/most recent and screw everything up. / versioning noob.

For the record, I do backup my shop every day through Codeguard. Don't think their service allows cloning/testing though.

  7. So I've been running my shop on Presashop 1.6 for a while now, and I "hate" it because all of the bugs. Why do I still use it then? Well, I invested months and months of time learning it and a lot of cash in modules, plus it's the only system I know of that does true multi-currency and is still open source.

Now, ever since I first heard of Thirthybees I've been super excited about it. So the big question is:

    • Now that thirtybees 1.0.0 is out - how do we Prestashop 1.6 users migrate as smoothly as possible without having to re-build the entire store from the ground up?
    • What problems could we expect in the migration process?
    • What's the recommended way of doing a test migration before going live with the PS 1.6 -> TB migrated install?

btw, love the new forum. Blazing fast, easy to navigate.

    Love, John P. Koskimaa - supergangu.com
