I'm coming to this rather late. I migrated to TB 1.6 from an earlier version, and the site had a lot of custom feature values - for example 'vintage', 'percentage alcohol', 'grape varieties'. Although 'vintage' makes sense as a predefined value, 'grape varieties' does not. Should I be using a mechanism other than features for these arbitrary values?
Now of course the entire list of custom values appears in a product's pulldowns of predefined features, including many duplicates. What's more, they don't appear in any order, regardless of the sort order I specify for the feature??
It would obviously help if I could - as you suggest - Merge duplicates. Is there a way of doing this somewhere? Or do I need to write a script to do so - I can't believe I'm the first to come across this.
BTW TB is an amazing piece of software and worth supporting...
