Better to plan for the potential of more than one shop, IMO.

I value your opinion @dynambee. If I decide upon a second shop, I can use a prefix, if I understand this correctly.

Yes, you can have one shop using just numbers and another shop with a prefix. I like things to look standardized though so if I thought there was a likelihood of more than one shop I'd start with a prefix so that all shops have prefixes.

My likelihood is much less now, since I've already had five sites running at once for eight years. Then I combined them into one large site. I have to think about this because there are always thoughts of starting yet another site. :)
