I'm looking for a module or code customization (override?) that will allow a customer to choose whether they want to pay for insurance over a certain amount for a give carrier - preferably for free. I currently use USPS Priority mail exclusively, which includes insurance on the first $100 with anything over that being based on the dollar amount I believe. I would be good if this could handle other carriers as well, but unless something changes drastically in the shipping world or my business model, I have no plans to use any other carriers.
