  1. @lesley how long do I leave the redirects in the htaccess editor? Forever? Or how long, please?
  2. This was a new option so I set the social title and date of birth in the customer section of the theme editor to be removed from the registration form.
  3. @lesley said in Regarding breadcrumbs, will changing products default categories affect SEO?: Just use the htaccess editor in the back of your shop. I couldn't find it in the BO so I Googled and found your free htaccess editor module! Thank you @lesley :) https://dh42.com/free-prestashop-modules/prestashop-htaccess-module/ What I did: Old breadcrumbs do not reflect the sub subcategory: old breadcrumbs before using Lesley of dh42 free htaccess editor module 2-24-18.jpg Breadcrumbs fixed with htaccess editor module: updated urls to fix breadcrumbs using Lesley of dh42 free htaccess editor module 2-24-18 Saved and regenerated. "Settings Updated". Cleared cache. Correct breadcrumbs are now shown: new breadcrumbs generated with Lesley of dh42 free htaccess editor module 2-24-18
  4. How to update / upgrade Transformer V3 for PS 1.6 Thirty Bees This possibly will work for Panda also. It is just a simple "outline" with explanatory details. Screenshots are at the bottom of this post. This is the way I find it easier to update (instead of comparing all the files) because I put off updating for a while, since I had made many minor changes from Jonny Li of sunnytoo.com tech support and his advice. It may not be right for everyone, but using a development site first will help you see the improvements and changes before you update your live site. I decided NOT to compare files and changes before updating, mostly because many, or most, of the changes have been incorporated into the latest version. Later on, if necessary, I will update the files I changed before the update. I have copies of all the changes in folders named with the specific file changes. The steps below are taken from notes and from the video made by ST-Themes: This video shows the exact way to update the theme: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gSFBM3Bya70&feature=youtu.be Download the latest version of the theme from your account downloads on the sunnytoo.com website. Create a new account if you don't have one. Jonny has instructions on his site about how to give him your purchase details. Unzip the update file. This unzipped file contains other compressed (zip) files. Unzip the update v3.3.5.zip file (latest version at the time of this writing) or whichever file is appropriate for your website. See two folders: modules and themes (screenshot). Use an FTP program, such as FileZilla, and upload these two folders into the public_html folder to replace the existing ones. In the back office (BO) Click "modules and services". Under Module List, search for “theme”. View the theme editor version. In my case, it is now updated to Transformer Theme Editor v3.3.5. Next, click “check for update”. See if anything needs updating and click it. Then you will see: Everything is up-to-date. (screenshot shows new version). Next, go to Advanced Parameters – Performance – Clear the cache. View your site and check to make sure everything works as expected. Back up your site NOW before making any further changes. The following instructions are notes I made from Jonny's sunnytoo.com site with Yobo’s and Jonny's help and from these forum threads. Read the threads regardless of what the names show. https://www.sunnytoo.com/forums/topic/product-video-and-size-chart-module-2#post-13507

https://www.sunnytoo.com/forums/topic/where-can-i-get-tx-v4-1-0 Notes I saved: If you know all the files you’ve edited, it’s easy to upgrade your site. Take these steps: Unzip v3.3.5. Compare files you’ve edited with the ones from v3.3.5. Merge your changes to files from v3.3.5. Upload all files from v3.3.5 to your site to replace old ones. Go to BO > Modules page, modules will be upgrade automatically. Done. If you don’t know the files you’ve changed, just do one more step to find them. I use svn. You can try other software, to compare files under the /modules and /themes/transformer/ with files from 3.2.9 to find the edited files. The rest of the steps are the same.

  5. @zimmer-media Nemo thanked you so take it up with him, please. :)
  6. @moy2010 or @MockoB (sorry, it's been a while) I don't know where your question is about the difference between panda and transformer but I told you I'd ask Jonny. His forum post here says: https://www.sunnytoo.com/forums/topic/please-report-compatibility-problems-with-thirtybees#post-15451 Panda theme for thirtybees was created based on Panda theme for prestashop1.6, so they have almost the same features. Features shows on demos for prestashop1.6 are all available in Panda theme for thirtybees.
  7. @koskimaa The transformer and panda themes are fully supported and will continue to be. I use Transformer theme for PS version 1.6. There are versions for 1.6 and 1.7 for panda and transformer. Jonny Li, the developer, provides excellent tech-support by email if you are a purchaser and also in the forums. Many people are there. Please check it out, including purchasing details. https://www.sunnytoo.com/forums/forum/transformer-theme Create your own login directly into his site.
  8. @DavidP I can't find this: Google Search Console - indexed page section.
  9. @DavidP This excellent information for the future. For now I want to focus on fixing the breadcrumbs. I'm sure all of this is great for our thirty bees community. I always welcome new insights and tools. Thank you!
  10. In my future, this would definitely be part of my essential SEO tools: Repeating what @Ulrich said: “Screaming Frog SEO Spider”, it’s free for crawling (and exporting) up to 500 URLs at a time https://www.screamingfrog.co.uk/seo-spider/ https://www.screamingfrog.co.uk/seo-spider/user-guide/general/
  11. @DavidP Thank you for the advice. It's good to be a member here. :)
  12. Thank you @Ulrich I installed and tried this app on my Mac. Contacted them about how to crawl just one category. They said "Due to your set-up (lack of a trailing slash on the subfolder), you'll need to use the include, but that's only available in the paid version. :-)" Any other suggestions, please? In the meantime, I'll test @MockoB's suggestion.
  13. A hearty welcome to all our new users including @Krystian @CJ @skyglue @juraj @Gomlers @pessoal2004 @ottovanzig and @gian
  14. @mockob said in Regarding breadcrumbs, will changing products default categories affect SEO?: I think in ps 1.5 if I change the associated product category from the product page it automatically adds 301. But I'm not sure how it is on thirty bees, and I'm not able to check it because I don't have access to pc at the moment. I'm going to try this now. Wish me luck! :)
  15. Hi @Ulrich I checked it out and will add new post to the end of this conversation.

    1.0.4 soon?

@lesley This is not TMI. It's perfect. It's also very generous of you to give so much time and effort to thirtybees and not be paid until @mdekker can earn a living and the bills for everything related to thirty bees is paid.
  17. So I go to each page and copy the friendly URL from the SEO section of each product and paste it into the htaccess editor along with the updated URL?
  18. OK, is there a way I can export just my URLS? It will be a lot easier if it works right (lol). I got that idea from the link I pasted above.
  19. In the htaccess file? @lesley I'm also reading this now: https://help.disqus.com/customer/portal/articles/912757-url-mapper
  20. @lesley updated to remove the link that is not for this particular question.
