  1. @Havouza Can you please tell me the exact name of that module or its link? I keep searching for mass combination updater and get many results. Do you mean this one?

    Prestashop Mass product combinations editor:

Thank you very much for your reply!

you should really try store commander, it saves so much time when editing >products. Yes, it costs a little extra but we have been using it for 18 months >without a single problem. It saves us hours every day.

Does store commander allow the creation of products to prepare them for combinations or do you still have to create single products and then add their combinations?

It's a newbie question, sorry, but it's my first experience with PS combinations. I've researched it, read many tutorials and watched several youtube videos, but cannot find the answer to that question anywhere.

But something that worries me a lot about the migration is the images, I have an average of 5 images per product, it will be very complicated to add one by one.

Can you tell me if the images will be a problem?

I hope not because I also have multiple images for some products.

Are we going to be able to add different image alt tags to each image?

Do you think it's a good idea to merge this forum topic with the one that has a clearly defined title - "Eager to Migrate from PrestaShop 1.6" at https://forum.thirtybees.com/topic/35/eager-to-migrate-from-prestashop-1-6 so that when we get bigger, people will be able to find migration information easier? IMHO, no one is going to search for "how is going" to find PrestaShop Migration information.

  5. Michael, thanks for the updates. It's good that you migrated your own store to see what needs tweaking. I'm sending you and crosscut01 a "virtual" upvote. :) (Can't vote any more today, for those who don't understand this).

"No deadlines" is the way to go. A little less pressure and a lot less aggravation!

  6. Thanks for agreeing with me, @koskimaa.

The moderators / admins promised to have an auto migration tool and documentation, which they will, because they know we're depending on them (smile), but we have to wait until it's ready. It's just with all the excitement being generated, it's hard to be patient!

This is a big project and they need more volunteers, which is why I wish I knew coding. :)

  7. @Global-Moderators @mdekker Can you please merge this topic (How is going?) into this one: Eager to migrate from Prestashop 1.6 located at: https://forum.thirtybees.com/topic/35/eager-to-migrate-from-prestashop-1-6

Michael Dekker is working on "auto" migration. You should wait till this module is out. When it's out keep in mind, that you should always make backups before you do a migration. I always make a clone of my live shop and then proceed it (upgrade/migration) first there and see what happens.

@wakabayashi said in Eager to migrate from Prestashop 1.6:

Well I do it like that: 1. I just copy my whole ps folder to another server or subfolder. 2. I create a new database and import the data 3. I change shop_url table 4. I change config datas

All steps are very important. If you don't know what you are doing. you should be very careful...

@koskimaa, thanks for asking what I was about to. @wakabayashi - I don't know how to do steps 2, 3 and 4, so I'll wait for Michael Dekker's "auto" migration.
