  1. Perhaps a one time login link might work, sounds like that would be an unrelated system so backwards compatibility could be maintained? Drupal does this and it seems to work well. Similar idea, a one time password. This all assumes that there is a way to actully change your password from with in the account after the one time login or password, I'm not actually sure that's the case.
  2. @bzndk said in Tracking when people abandon cart?: But again if there is a major issue, and the same step is the one that looses you customers you will figure it out quite fast from data like that. Yeah, this is the advice I was working on. If a cart workflow has "Put in your address" "Choose courier" And "Pay" And you louse 80% of people on "chose courier' then you know people are put off by the price of shipping or slow delivery for example. I guess hotjar would be good for single page checkout? Piwik does have some heat mapping, though, so I will siy down and take a look at that today and see what's what (and feed back here!)
  3. Any of you guys know what the standard url's are for different steps in the cart process? I need help to track at what point people abandon their cart. I tried repeating the cart process several times but it seems like sometimes it uses just /order and other times it uses a more complex string. Want to set up a funnel in my piwik to see when we lose customers to see if it's because of our shipping or the form is too complicated etc etc.
  4. @vincentdenkspel said in Store refresh on 30 bees: @annafjmorris I would look at how others are doing this. At Amazon they only list the price of one option. Then you can click on the price or product name and you will be direct to the product page. There you can select a specific option and then you can click the add to cart button True, but that means removing the quick "add to cart" option in search/category pages, for about half our catalogue. I always like to try and maintain fast purchase possibility for our regular/less patient customers
  5. @vincentdenkspel said in Store refresh on 30 bees: there is an inconsistancy in the category view. Sometime the button ‘add to cart’ is displayed and sometime not (although the products are in stock Yeah, this is when a product has options such as grams in bag or colour. For example a bag of dog food comes in 300g (tiny) up to 15kg (large!) . It's a setting someplace. Can't work out how is Best to deal with it. I don't want to lose out on 15kg sales by making 3kg the default or something.... So, Do I have "add to cart" and set it to add x size or y colour by default? Or perhaps some other way of making it feel quick and consistent, perhaps you click add to cart and a dropdown allows you to specify size/colour etc... Thoughts welcome
  6. @bzndk said in Store refresh on 30 bees: Just checked your site, and you need your developer to look in to the following thigs. 1) Make sure EVERY item is loaded via HTTPS, currently you got some items that loads via HTTP this makes the browser show your site as insecure. 2) You need to look in to the speed of the site, the site is very slow currently, and for me sitting in Denmark the load time is 5-8 sec, this will actually loose your customers to, according to GTMetrix with there London location used is 13 Sec loading time this should be a main focus to fix - You should read https://blog.kissmetrics.com/loading-time/ 3) Leverage browser caching - needs to be sortet out to, right now you dont use the browser caching at all, and this is important since revisitors have to load the elements over and over again when they switch pages on your site, with Leverage browser caching turned on, they only have to load it once (unless they flush there browser cache) and this will give some improvements in load, not for first visitors tho. Hey, just wanted to let you know we have been working on these things: firstly we moved the site from out VPS to a linode server, employing a speed specialist to do the work. He has configured a lot of things like the browser caching you mentioned which would not function on our old store. I am getting our theme developer to fix the http > https issues. The speed guy also mentioned some plugins which are inefficient, that we are asking the developers to look at. So far so good. The next job is to review all the product descriptions etc which are quite out dated and random in places. We are doing this slowly over time, it's a big job!
  7. Some extra admin level security would be great, 2FA for store admins etc. Even the store administrator password is sent in the email after a password change at the moment, which is just unbelievable. It makes me very anxious about data protection.
  8. I am looking forward to some progress hear and glad to see it's on the cards ?
  9. I have actually realized there is "cart contents" built into the mautic for prestashop module! It came to me in a dream and I checked and it's actually there! It didn't even occur to me that it might be head explodes - will keep you posted!
  10. Hi, I am using mautic really successfully with thirty bees, I now have the two hooked up together so I have a list of people who placed orders and a list of people who abandoned carts. It's working really well! Emails are fed into these lists about every 15-20 minutes, so I suppose a little time is needed to be sure that the cart is in fact abandoned. I want to set up a drip campaign for abandoned carts, however, I would like to include the contents of the individual's cart in the email and I'm not sure how to do this. Looking briefly free prestashop modules it seems like they all send the email via the module, I want to send the email via mautic. I'm guessing it could be done by developer through the API however I'm wondering if anyone knows a simpler way? Thanks!
  11. https://github.com/thirtybees/tbupdater/issues/8 Can anyone help? Doing a live site rollout, was fine in the test, big issue for me really...
  12. @vzex It's not some much that we are looking for free, it's just that we chose years ago to mod the default theme of presta and it worked well and looked great, so now we are modding the default theme of TB in the same way. Other than being responsive, it was still similar to the 1.4/1.5 theme we had originally. It's more expensive than a bought theme really, but then it's clearer to me who owns the code, and keeps us some brand consistency with our old design too :) I did note when making this choice that there is less flexibility in terms of sliders and menu's etc though. A downside for sure. @Innercode - is this something we can pay you guys to do for us over the next few months? Can you email me at annafjmorris [AT] gmail [DOT] com with some info
  13. That is EXACTLY what I am looking for. I have a designer working with me on the theme, is this sort of thing a long/difficult job to implement?
  14. Hi, working on moving to thirty bees from presta, the date is set for 1st Sept!! One thing, I really dislike the way images are displayed on the product page, with one big image and then loads of smaller preview images below. On mobile, anything more than 3 images total takes up half the screen and on desktop they just look nasty. I want to move to a slider based thing, so one big image and swipe left or click to see image 2, 3, 4 etc. No more little preview images cluttering up the place. I have no idea how this is done, if it's a plugin, some setting in my back office, no clue. I had a look about and can't find anything. Anyone help? Ideally free modules if one is needed :D Spent loads already! Thanks
  15. ok, thankyou for this summary, it is very helpful in allowing to plan for the future :)
  16. So, we just need to hear from @mdekker himself so we can find out the general plan for the checkout. Does anyone know him or have contact enough to obtain this?
  17. @wakabayashi - if it IS being worked on, I would donate too!!
  18. @wakabayashi Is it actually being worked on though? I know that the checkout process is being worked on in general, but no idea if that will include the "Log in or Check out: then option to convert to account after" process which I am so anxious for. Brilliant if it is though! @nickon Yeah, I looked at those and decided they aren't much better. But I would be interested to hear how you get one when you make it live :)
  19. @30knees I was worried it would be like this - though in some ways I am surprised because as @Baarssen mentioned, the underlying facility for converting a guest to a customer is already there. But I guess the complexity explains why no one has done it yet, I was very surprised there was no plugin for this somewhere. Anyway, I think this would be a very good project for thirty bees, it would put us ahead of prestashop in even more ways, and would be a big deal I think :)
  20. Hi, getting closer to finishing my store so decided to bump this. @mdekker - I hope you might read this thread. The basic premise is a bunch of people want a cart process which has "guest" checkout OR log in pay etc option to create an account so card details are saved for next time > converts guest to account. We feel this is more efficient, will reduce abandoned carts, and is becoming more normalised
  21. Hi, I think you're looking at the old store, the new store is in the disguised link below that.
  22. Oh, darn, thats the one I just baught, it's something I really wanted... Out of interest when you say it's poorly written, how bad is it interests when you say it's poorly written, how bad is it? I bought it from the official prestashop store (i am not a fan). I can report the bug I guess.... One thing that might be the cause if I'm not sure if thirty bees is effectively ps 1.6 or 1.6.1?
  23. Hi, do you know which module it is? I can disable it and see if it fixes
