When editing product attributes you have the opportunity to use a color or a texture. Using a texture the uploaded photo is shown correctly on the products page - but not on the products listing page.
Changing a color and then adding an image as texture shows that the shop uses the color (incorrectly, you want to see the uploaded image) on the products-list page and as a background-color on the products page.
Ergo: The uploaded texture should be used on the products-list page as well as it is alread used on the products page.
