alwayspaws
How do I set up required shippers for certain products and do I do it individually for each of those products? Example: mandatory FedEx ground for perishable items packed in ice and must ship faster than USPS priority mail, which is my current default. 0 alwayspaws
Probably, but I hope someone comes along who knows what to edit or add.
0 Havouza
I understand what you say but to start changing code when there probably are a solution for it without, in my view is a dangerous solution. You never know what code changes affect
0 alwayspaws
I'm hoping someone knows how to do this inside thirty bees. There are so many differently skilled people here, that I'm taking a chance on asking this.
0 Havouza
But I looked in one of my products. In the shipping tab you can choose which carrier should be available for that product
0 alwayspaws
I looked at that and it's exactly what I want. Thanks!
0 dynambee
You can use different warehouses for different shipping requirements. In this case you assign the items to a warehouse and they will use the shipping options available to that warehouse. Beware however that if your customers have items in their shopping cart that do not share a common carrier then PS (and 30bz) will not properly display shipping options. The shipping module does not handle this properly, unfortunately.
0 Havouza
But that must be unnecessarily complicated in her case. She does not use warehouses. And she can allow only one carrier to these products. How TB handles if there is other products that need can have other carriers I dont know
0 alwayspaws
I can manually update the carriers for this one line of products that is perishable, so I'll do as @Havouza suggested. Thank you both.
