credenceweb Posted August 25, 2017 Posted August 25, 2017 Hello All - Where can I find sample csv import files? Are they the same as the PS 1.6 files?
0 LauraJ Posted January 5, 2018 Posted January 5, 2018 I'd like to know this as well. My softaculous installation - the option to download samples takes me to a dead page
0 lesley Posted January 5, 2018 Posted January 5, 2018 You can download them there, https://github.com/thirtybees/thirtybees/tree/1.0.x/docs/csv_import
0 alwayspaws Posted January 5, 2018 Posted January 5, 2018 @LauraJ Hi, Laura, Here are the files. They were given to me by another user because the back office CSV Import page samples, when clicked on, brings me to a page not found on my own site. @lesley why is this? Download and rename them without the numbers in front. Also make backups of them before using them. The names are: combinationsimport.csv and productsimport.csv 01515176464486combinations_import.csv and 01515176477127products_import.csv Welcome to thirtybees!
0 lesley Posted January 5, 2018 Posted January 5, 2018 Looks like a bug, we are not including the docs directory on the build, we will have to add it.
0 alwayspaws Posted January 5, 2018 Posted January 5, 2018 @lesley As long as they are accessible via this link, we are fine! Thanks! https://github.com/thirtybees/thirtybees/tree/1.0.x/docs/csv_import
0 LauraJ Posted January 5, 2018 Posted January 5, 2018 Thanks! - way more too complicated for my little brain.... Hand entering it is....
0 LauraJ Posted January 8, 2018 Posted January 8, 2018 Thanks, I just can't comprehend how I would easily put in my items that way. I did not have prestashop prior
0 lesley Posted January 8, 2018 Posted January 8, 2018 This is going to be fixed in the latest build, I just changed the build script to add them.
0 ukclearance Posted January 8, 2018 Posted January 8, 2018 @lauraj CSV import is easier if you use spreadsheet software like Excel to mange the files. If your products supplier can give you a spreadsheet with the product information already in it, it saves loads of time to amend this to what is required to import with TB.
0 LauraJ Posted January 9, 2018 Posted January 9, 2018 OK! BIG NEWS!!! I put my little 40 year old high school brain to work and figured out how to open it in excel. I use excel daily BUT haven't done data imports etc in 20 years... I absolutely forgot about that sort of thing! YAY me AND GOOGLE. Thanks everyone for your help. Still not as simple as a supplier giving me info as I hand make all my products (nail decals) and have over 500 to enter.... but this is HUGE for that reason as well.
