I need to add additional data to my .htaccess file. I have a hosting provider who doesn't believe in php error logs and the only way to get a php error log is to add something to your .htaccess. The first line is "php_flag log_errors on".
So I added the text at the beginning of my .htaccess - before the reserved part of Thirty Bees and I pressed the save button. At first sight everything seemed to work ok: in the refreshed page the added text was still there.
But when I downloaded the renewed .htaccess file the added text was missing. And when in the backoffice I went to some random other page and then back to SEO&URL's the text was missing there too.
NB: this is TB 1.4

Yesterday morning I found my shop down since about 3 o'clock in the morning. This is a shop on TB 1.4 (still waiting for the Mollie update).
It turned out that the file /classes/PrestaShopAutoload.php had been reduced to length zero. I have no idea why. Anyway, I replaced the file and the shop worked again.
This morning I once again found the shop down. It was the same problem and it had started at about the same time.
Does anyone have an idea what could be the problem here?

Together with uploading the software also generates the derived images (123-small.jpg, 123-large.jpg, etc). This often takes more time than the uploading itself. So you should check which image types you have enabled. Maybe you can reduce their number.

Found it!
In the past I had first used the Eicaptcha module and then I had switched to the Thirty Bees module and disabled Eicaptcha. However, somehow the Eicaptcha override was still present. Now that it is removed things work again.

I noticed that my "Contact us" page doesn't work. You see for a short time the wheel turning and then the page turns back in what it was. I tried both in Chrome and Firefox with the same result.
I did the mail test in the backoffice and that still works.
I looked for error messages in the browser console but the only error is a " Fetch failed loading: POST "https://region1.google-analytics.com/g/collect?v=" (I have omitted all the arguments). This caused by the TB ganalytics module (latest version) but likely is not relevant for this case.
I am using TB 1.7 Bleeding Edge.

I have none; I don't think I'm the best person to do it.Shopify makes its money with the modules. When you see the base price it seems not that expensive. But every module is another monthly expense.

The connections table can only store IPv4 ip addresses. All IPv6 addresses are stored as 0.0.0.0. Prestashop has the same problem. It looks like both assume that you are using Google Analytics or a similar third party service, so this piece of pre-historic code is left unchanged.

Prestools doesn't prompt you for a domain from which you search.
You mention typing filenames. That puzzles me. As you have used it previously the address bar of your browser should have stored valid addresses.
One possibility is that some kind of anti-virus software is blocking the software.

I get the impression that Prestashop is increasingly targeting big companies and is getting less interested in the small outfits.
That could open an opportunity for Thirty Bees.
Recently I encountered this article. It is about a Dutch company that makes themes and other parts for Magento, specifically targeting parts that Magento considers less attractive.
It is kind of what to me seems a logical future for Thirty Bees. It wouldn't be hard to stay compatible with Prestashop regarding the business data of the database. That way you can offer a very easy migration between Prestashop and Thirty Bees - both ways. The business data changes very slow. Almost all the "innovation" at Prestashop concerns Symfony adaptations.

The old module still works. But it keeps me on TB version 1.4.

Prestashop 1.7 was released in november 2016. The fall in users is much more recent. I see two potential reasons:
- since 2021 Prestashop is owned by an Italian firm, MBE Worldwide. As a consequence the project is now split between an opensource project and the corporation. It now is released in two versions: the opensource version - only available on Github - and the "Edition Basic" that is available on their website prestashop.com. The problem is that the "Edition basic" contains a dozen extra modules that add nothing in shopping functionality but tend to make the software less stable.
- In the last year they have made it increasingly hard to install Prestashop under Windows with Xampp or similar programs. It is now almost impossible (once installed running is no problem). This may also be a consequence of the increased influence of volunteers on the project. These tend to be Linux nerds who look down on Windows. They forget that Windows is often the first place where try out Prestashop.

I want to adapt the tax rate of a country on the tax rules page. However, when I click the edit button nothing happens. When I look in the browser console I see an ajax call that returns false.
I am using version 1.6.
What could this be?

I'm pretty sure it was in some part of the product-edit.php file, but I've since closed all files related and don't really have the time to go back and sift through that code atm. I simply want to create a visual marker that can quickly identify in the product listing when an item is out of stock. I don't know why these combination items have highlighting in the qty column, because none of the single items in this category do. I've also noticed yellow previously but haven't been able to locate any lists that have that qty coloring so far since the newest upgrade. I'm using your tool to manage a database of 20k plus products in place of the eMagicOne PrestaStore Manager software. I have tried to reactivate that software on my new laptop, but they have stated I must essentially purchase the software again, even though my current license is a 2-seat license and supposed to be "lifetime". They're based in Ukraine, so no point in trying to pursue any other action than ending the use of their software.
The Prestools product has been helpful in numerous ways to this end, but so far, it's been some of the "little things" that have been the stumbling block to meaningful utilization in this endeavor.
The yellow background is for products with the depends_on_stock flag set.
It puzzles me a bit why someone would depend on a background color to see that a product is out of stock. A search for products with quantity lower than 1 would seem much easier. But I can add it as an option if you want.

I found a "lookup" in the code for what appears to be "remaining quantities" but not quite sure how that does anything, and since I don't believe that it's related to the point, I just moved on.
I will think about it. But at the moment I don't see how to do this without making the page more confusing.

Yes. Note that there are two widths, weights, etc. One is a field in ps_product used for shipping. The other is a feature.
The fields used for calculating shipping costs have been called shipwidth, shipheight, etc in Prestools

Prestools doesn't support warehousing. That is a limitation. Few people use that, it is complex and its functionality has been reduced In Prestashop 1.7.
