Featured Products & HTML block on home page

Hi I did a search here on this but no clear on step by step how to fix the featured mod is running the cat is on & the right number is selected but it is still not on the home page. It's the only issue I really had converting. Well images but that is fixable. the hooks section gives error that is failed to load module list live config. Not sure what to do. just need those two things back & we are good to go.

I'm unclear about something...Can you get to Modules and Services -> Positions?

yes that loads fine

On the top left...search for 'featured products on homepage'. Is it in both displayHomeTab and displayHomeContent?

Yes in 2nd position for both

Yes the featured is on to display 8 id 53 which is the correct category random is Yes

53 is a cat that has products in it i take it?

On a different note, what CAN'T you get to then?

The featured tab is not on the home page

right..I got that. With the things I asked, I now have no clue why it's not working. I would uninstall and re-install the module 'Featured products on the homepage'. Other than that, I'm clueless and hopefully someone else has ideas.

The featured tab is broken into two hooks, the displayhome and the displayhometabs hooks, make sure the module is hooked to both

Are you using the stock 1.0.3 TB theme? Or your're old ps theme?

Yes I told the migrate to update the theme.

My stupidity lol featured is popular on the home page it was there just not correct order were good now. Is there a way to add best sellers to the tabs?

I believe that as soon as you install 'Top-sellers block' it adds it.

nope I'm wrong. It needs to be in the same two hooks that featured was in.

how hard is it to add a hook?

top right of the Positions screen, 'Transplant a module'...it's fairly straight forward from there. Pick the module, then pick 'Transplant to' and pick displayHomeTab and displayHomeTabContent, in two different steps. That will ad it to the two hooks it needs to be in. It doesn't 'add a hook', thats a totally different procedure.
