Missing install directory on cloudways

Question

Posted

I tried installing TB on Cloudways using their one-click style install, getting the error "missing install directory" after installing TB. I can't seem to find any one else having this issue unless my Google-bility is suffering. Any help much appreciated

Weird, I think you might need to put in a ticket with them something might be wrong with their system. They are working fine here, I just did a Seattle 1gb and had no problems, even after downgrading to php 5.6.

There is not, I have not seen this issue with cloudways, it is very strange. I just launched 3 instances and they all worked fine. Can you start a support ticket with them, it seems like something might be wrong with their installer.

Just an update, was going back and forth with Cloudways support for the past week and apart from a few emails asking for the IP and telling me they are working on it, still nothing. I'm absolutely boggled as to what's causing the issue as it seems like it is just on my end. Will update when I know more, if anyone else runs into this issue please let me know! I feel so alone :P

So..... I created a new account on Cloudways. I had a stupid suspicion maybe it could have possibly been that I was using the Google login and not regular email login? It doesn't make sense to me at all, but for some reason after making a new account with regular login, the installation worked and I can run TB no problem at all.

It doesn't make any sense lol. I'll let their support know that maybe that's a possibility for my issues with the TB installation.

Very strange issue that the installer is changed by the account that you create. I wonder if their system is not getting the email correctly and injecting it the application. That is the only thing I can think of. That would explain why creating them worked for me.

I am glad you got it worked out though.
