CSV combination upload question

It is a long time since I did an upload of combinations. Last night I tried to do one using the file format I used the last time and it failed without an error message. It said it completed correctly and the quantity of the product increased as if there were combinations but there are no combinations showing in the front or back office. I am thinking that sometning must have changed in the required format of the spreadsheet since I did the last upload. I did search the forum (after it was fixed) but didn't find anything that helped. CSV means Comma Separated Values.

This file has no commas inside. Instead is uses | as separator. Either swap this character for commas (using an ordinary text editor) or instruct the CSV import page to use this character as separator.

@traumflug I do instruct the import page to use the |. That can't be the problem as the product import files work fine using the | and ~.

@colorful-ant Thank you, but at the time of that thread the combination csv file I am using was working fine. Something must have changed since then.
