Can't upload images. File manager hanging

I'm not sure what happened, but I can no longer add an image through the back office. My screen hangs here, as seen below, and never loads. Any guidance on how to fix this?

No. However, I randomly deleted the last image that was uploaded and now all seems to be functioning again. Must have been corrupted or something.
