More out of curiosity which Preferred Method does everyone use for getting people to create a account 

1. Only Account creation

2. Standard account with address

i use 
 the second -> standard account with address
 

i had problems with paypal.
1. there were orders without address
2. there was an order with an old address - customer did not correct his new address

etc.....

and I sell download products -> for this I need the billing address for a correct invoice
