Error: could not write to file. Make sure that the correct permissions are set on the file /home/jv74/public_html/config/defines.inc.php

When I try to activate developer mode I get the above error. Permission is set to 0644 as all the other config files 

Any suggestions?

The file is owned by different system user than your php server runs under

Its interesting. The mod_php is depreached but I have forgot to purge it from this server. Now I did that and switche to fpm and now it seems to work again
