  1. Yes that is what I was doing. Just tried something else in the category creator. For some reason I'm now able to create sub categories now, and they do show up in the tree now. I must have been having resource or cache issues because a free things have finally freed up now. Sorry for the false alarm. Thanks
  2. Hi Musicmaster, When I click on the expand tree in product set up, no errors are shown that I can see and the following link is triggered: /ajax-tab.php?controller=AdminProducts&token=05021bf2a27261c84f320c796a86147c&action=getCategoryTree&type=associated-categories-tree&fullTree=1&selected[]=2&useCheckBox=0
  3. Hi Traumflug, As the usual way of creating the category tree in the back office isn't working, tree expander not functioning, how does one make it manually without going directly into the DB? So for in the back office all I can do is add new top level categories that also do not show up in the tree. Using the add sub category makes no difference. Going into a top level category and adding a sub category still puts the new sub category in the top category list. I have not tried importing a file yet, though, the sample file does not show how to include sub categories so it is very much lacking. While I need to get the site usable ASAP, I am always willing to spend time on the tasks. Thanks
  4. As I can't create a category tree via the back office because the tree builder isn't working, the tree will not expand, and no one seems to have any answers, how do you go about building a category tree directly in the data base. I have database experience but I am unsure how the structure works and what entries are required to build the tree in the category tables. There is also a Prestashop module Category Tree Rebuilder for sale that may be another option. Many in Prestashop seemed to have had this issue so I am assuming that the code in this area is a bit iffy. Thanks
  5. Hi Traumflug, Thank you. I did not notice that the test user saved without being set in the correct group. This is why the discounting did not seem to work as per your suggestion.
  6. The site has a number of user groups each with their own discount setting. When a user logs in to the site we need the prices shown to reflect their group's discount and not simply display the full non discounted value. At the moment the full price is being displayed to everyone. How do you achieve this? Later I will be adding a module that only displays prices when a user is logged in and then I need the correct price to be shown. Thanks
  7. New User (New 1.08 install) Category functionality, in particular sub categories, is failing in two areas. I can not add sub categories. When adding a new sub category and you click on the expand categories and nothing happens so you can not set up a tree off categories. The result of adding a new sub category is a new category on the top level. Also, when toy go to the category list, you can grab a category and move it, but you can not drop it into another category to make it a sub category. In my new set up I now have 8 categories in the top level, no sub categories, but only ONE category displayed in the top menu. Navigation can not be set up for this web site as there is an issue with the add sub category page, the category list page, and possibly the top menu. Any ideas on how to get a category built? MORE... I'm thinking that this has something to do with JavaScript as I've also noticed that the module search function is not working either. Thanks
