  1. @Traumflug and @zimmer-media I always use a CSV but this one time, of course, I decided to manually create a product. I'll continue creating my new CSV with a new product and the number I hope to get and see what happens. That was what I was doing that prompted this question. If it stays at 500 plus for both fields, I'll move along.

If it does not, I will be back!

    Thank you both!

  2. I have always had tax set for my own state, so let's leave that out of the mix.

For the few states that I needed to create tax rules for, I've already created them and will use those numbers on my csv.

AFAIK I do not need to combine tax rules because each supplier is a separate entity with its own nexus. For instance, I do not have any suppliers in my "home" state. I think that is where this went awry. :)

Update: Now that I'm working with the CSV, I see no need to create tax rules when the state taxes for what I need are already enabled.

  3. I manually created a test product in admin and gave it a higher number (502) to make it stand out for me, temporarily. The product was good so I left it as is.

Now I can't find where to change the Product ID number so it has the correct reference ID, but wrong ID number. The ID number and the Reference number do not match.

Now all the new products are being increased by the wrong ID number. I tested it and the new product (not shown) is ID 503 and Product 362.

Instead of 361, the ID number is 503. I do not want it like that. Where do I fix this? I looked at every field in product #361.

  4. @jnsgioia I’ll try to clear this up.

Example: A customer lives in California and items are being shipped to that customer from a supplier located in California, so a specific tax rule must be created for the California tax rate.

As of this date, USA taxes are only charged in the state that a resident lives in, if that is where the goods are Shipping From.

Is the combined rule for shipping different items to the same person from three different states?

If that’s the case, I don’t need to combine tax rules.

If I’m understanding correctly then I need to create an individual rule for California, Florida and Georgia. These are only examples.

  5. @RaptorX Thanks for bringing this up. Having the buttons at the top would save a lot of scrolling and would make for a better UX.

    @Pedalman

I just edited the tpl in question (actually I only copied the button code that was wrapped in a DIV at the top where I needed it)…

Did you only change one page? I especially want it on the products page, but wonder if I can also add it to the images pages to bulk delete images. Any ideas?

  6. @Baarssen I am on a Mac and I notice this, too, when making changes to my site and then view in FF, Safari and Chrome. (Yes, after doing the “clear browser cache” dance on all of them).

In FF, the text is larger, so I checked font defaults which Chrome suggests no less than 12 point.

I have set all three browsers to 12 point.

After zooming in and out, I also make sure to reset the browser view back to the default view with CTRL-0 (zero) on the Mac.

Can you see if resetting zoom helps?

(Now waiting for @lesley to tell me I misconstrued the topic) ?

  7. @Nemo I saw the code much easier in Sublime than in my text editor, so that was great.

@moy2010 Thank you for translating it so I would understand it. :)

Between the two of you, I believe I now know what I am doing. Unfortunately, it is still not working.

In the form.tpl file, I changed the field separator as follows: {else}^{/if} (caret)

The multiple value separator was how I wanted it: {else},{/if} (comma)

I updated the Field and Multiple Value Separators in the form.tpl but the admin csv separators will not update.

They stay at: field separator is a comma and the multiple value separator is a semicolon.

My updated field separator code and updated multiple value separator code is as follows:

    {l s='e.g. '} 1, Blouse, 129.90, 5
    {l s='e.g. '} red.jpg; blue.jpg; green.jpg
                </div>

This screenshot is from my file manager on my host because I wanted to confirm the file was actually updated. (I used Filezilla to download the file, edited it with Sublime and uploaded it with Filezilla.)

This screenshot shows the settings have not changed in the admin - CSV import section:

This screenshot is the updated form.tpl file:

I use CSV uploads very regularly.

Anyone with suggestions as to why the form.tpl does not change the csv upload default parameters?

    Thanks,

    Stephanie

  8. @30knees I looked at the post you referenced before replying here.

I did check my stock but it did not affect it because the tests were just to test part of the functionality of the Amazon login and pay. Those test orders were done by Amazon tech-support. They did not pay for the orders.

I’m happy with this solution but if it was a real order that was seen through to the end, I’d want to remove it myself to check inventory.

  9. @selwynorren said in Customer Follow Up:

Well the customer follow up module is designed to check if an existing customer has not made an order within x days to send them a coupon code with a discount to encourage them to return and make a new order. It also handles a few other automation emails which is really nice for merchants.

    Sounds good to me!

@DavidP with the "store" he means a store for modules!

@alwayspaws it is no problem, if you can't support with money. You support with a lot of acitvity here, reporting bugs and so on. Thats very helpful for all here! The discussion is about merchants who make 1000$/month and just don't support in any way.

Thank you very much, @wakabayashi :) I appreciate it.
