  1. I'm testing PayPal payments and now when clicking on the PayPal Checkout Button, the popup for logging into PayPal appears but disappears before it loads.

I tried in three browsers on my desktop - chrome, firefox and safari and the PayPal cookies are allowed.

I was afraid this was going to happen to customers who don't know from clearing cache - unless it's clearing "cash" out of their wallets - and now it has happened.

I tried this without logging in and with logging in.

This is not due to the latest PayPal update because I tried it before updating the PayPal module and tried it again after updating the PayPal Module.

I can't give a screenshot because the popup disappears too quickly and I have a slowwww connection.

  2. Marci, your cat is adorable! Thank you for the advice. I use FB and Twitter and have a nice following. I'm not sure about asking for backlinks from them, but I will anyway, pretty soon. I've been friends with some of them for a long time. I also use Instagram and Pinterest, etc., but need to make time to add more images. I have the social sharing icons on my site. Believe me, I'm present one way or another. I'm fine tuning some of the site now. Wish I could put my dog to work at more than just looking pretty! :)

  3. @DavidP said in Need help with finishing shop!:

Don't put all your products on straight away, get the basics in place with main products (not the ones with hundreds of combinations!) and all the payment processing sorted out. Get all your Google My Business stuff, local citations, social media etc in place first.

Once you've got a stable running shop then work on putting other products in, a few at a time, that way you'll get it done and everyone including Google will be happy to see your new products and fresh content :)

    Excellent advice, David!

  4. @lesley I don't have a physical store, so should I delete the GMB? I've been reading a slew of articles and I don't mean a link exchange software or site just for link exchanges. "Backlinks are still very important according to Brian Dean: "If you want more search engine traffic, link building is a must." http://backlinko.com/link-building and he explains a lot.

  5. @lesley I think there is some confusion on my part. I only have an online store and if the only way to get links is to have a GMB page with my address on it, I think it's better for me to remove it and just get links. I know a couple of online businesses I may be able to exchange links with.

I looked at this article and I don't need a map. I'd like to keep the GMB listing but not show my address.
