  1. Aren't there some excellent OPC modules available, like this one and this one? I already use one in my PS shop. It's nice but not Shopify, BigCommerce, etc nice. And it's still a module and not built in. I don't want to have to use a module for a feature that every modern shopping cart software should excel at, the checkout process.
  2. And this is why I'm switching to BigCommerce instead of TB from PS 1.6. Been waiting a long time for some of the enhancements to come to fruition, especially a one page checkout that isn't outdated like the current one and a modern theme. It's a shame because I had high hopes for this project. I still hope it works out, but just too slow for improvements for me.
  3. I've been using the module I mentioned above for almost a year and it works perfectly. Check it out for yourselves on my PS 1.6 shop @ llmedico (dot) com
  4. @traumflug You're nitpicking. These are options, not design elements. And they are a huge company with a loyal customer base, they don't need a guest checkout (same as Amazon). This should be an option regardless. Some store owners like having a guest checkout, others don't.
  5. @doclucas Wasn't referring to the functionality, more so the design. Best design of a checkout goes to chewy.com for sure. If you can mimic these guys, you're doing it right. Hence why they sold the company to PetSmart for over $3 billion (largest e-commerce sale ever). They do things right.
  6. Glad to hear things are progressing. Some things that would step you up to another level, IMO, would be: a much cleaner and modern default theme. Looks like it's from 4-5 years ago. https://martica-demo.myshopify.com/ would be a good example. Subscriptions. The only other software I can find that does this right is Lemonstand. All others you have to either buy a module or pay crazy amounts for services. This would put you apart from the rest. A great and easy checkout process (1 page) like shopify and even PS 1.7 has. Check out chewy.com, they do it right. A better customer experience. Should be easier to re-order items, see your past purchases more cleanly, manage cards, etc etc. Just some thoughts.
  7. Cart should be on the right, customers are used to this with every other store they probably shop at. Email should be asked for first (think abandoned cart emails). If you want an incredible checkout to mimic, take a look at chewy.com. It's the best out there. So easy to use and understand. The shopping cart / checkout experience should be the #1 thing on Thirtybees list of things to upgrade. Not sure why they aren't taking care of this sooner. The old PS 1.6 (and now Thirtybees) checkout is god awful. It's a conversion killer.
  8. Wondering if this is in the works for a future release?
  9. @mdekker any updates on the progress of OPC? Thanks!

    ShipStation?

Been using them for about 2 years and they're great. Definitely worth the money if you do enough shipments per day. If it works with PS 1.6.1.2 (my shop) then is should work with TB.
  11. They use a webservice Lesley. Works pretty great with my PS 1.6.1.2 shop. Highly recommend them for efficiency with your shipping.
  12. Great explanation Leslie. I appreciate it. Should make something like this a sticky post in SEO forum maybe. Quick question though, if ttfb or ttfp isn't important in your mind, why does Google show these metrics? Or are you saying Lighthouse is replacing Pagespeed insights and they won't be checking this metric anymore? And what about "round trips to load render blocking resources"? That seems to be a new metric in insights.
  13. 420 ms on Google Pagespeed Insights https://developers.google.com/speed/pagespeed/insights/?url=https%3A%2F%2Ffront.thirtybees.com%2F&tab=mobile Prestashop (wow, really good, unexpected) https://developers.google.com/speed/pagespeed/insights/?url=http%3A%2F%2Fdemo.prestashop.com%2Fen%2F%3Fview%3Dfront&tab=mobile Magento also very good https://developers.google.com/speed/pagespeed/insights/?url=http%3A%2F%2Fmagento2-demo.nexcess.net%2F&tab=mobile Is this being looked in to at all by the TB developers? Just curious.
  14. Just wondering if some of you can list your website, host and what version of TB/PS you're using and the time to first byte. I tested the demo TB store and it seemed pretty high compared to Prestashop's demo. Google says you should keep it under 200ms and I know this is gonna become an even more important SEO ranking factor in the coming year. I believe a lot of this has to do with hosting too, so maybe it's just Cloudways? Thoughts everyone? TB - http://www.bytecheck.com/results?resource=https%3A%2F%2Ffront.thirtybees.com%2F (I got 917 ms) PS - http://www.bytecheck.com/results?resource=http%3A%2F%2Fdemo.prestashop.com%2Ffr%2F%3Fview%3Dfront (I got 330 ms) Magento - http://www.bytecheck.com/results?resource=http%3A%2F%2Fmagento2-demo.nexcess.net%2F (246 ms)
  15. @alwayspaws Yes the font color looks much better but would also change the black in the top menu bar (the hover too). And the category pictures on the homepage does look better without the text than it does with it over the image. I would still try to incorporate the name of the category under those pics though. And that color looks a lot better than the deep purple before. Looks much more professional now. All in all, the site looks great. As I was about to hit submit, I just noticed that product zoom box is way off to the left. I would fix this so that it is directly right of the main product image. Also, can barely read the login and contact text in your header bar. Would change those font colors to white. If you need any more suggestions, shoot me a DM. -Alex
