zimmer-media Posted November 26, 2017 Posted November 26, 2017 A shop should be set up that should only be B2B within the EU. For mandatory fields, I now have problems in a test shop. The VAT identification number should serve as a mandatory field in connection with the module "European VAT number". It should be checked immediately before registration for accuracy. It appears as a mandatory field but only the field for the normal tax number. Do I overlook something? Ask for your help. registration field is not the vat-ident number
zimmer-media Posted November 26, 2017 Author Posted November 26, 2017 addendum: In the required field tax number, I can arbitrarily specify any data that does not seem plausible in any way.
lesley Posted November 26, 2017 Posted November 26, 2017 The best solution is to have a module that makes all registrations pending. It should be on the merchant to verify the vat number.
zimmer-media Posted November 26, 2017 Author Posted November 26, 2017 To check the VAT ID I have the module "European VAT number" installed and activated, but as a required field in the shop only the field for the normal tax number is possible.
JamesBlond008 Posted November 27, 2017 Posted November 27, 2017 We have a B2B Shop too and our solution was that everyone could register (but is not able to see the prices). After we recieved the business registration from him via Email, we set the Customers Group to "Haendler (Trader)". With this Group he is able to see the Prices in our Shop.
zimmer-media Posted November 27, 2017 Author Posted November 27, 2017 We would like to automate it a bit more so that not everyone can easily register. We wanted to implement this with the module "European VAT number". My customer wanted to have less work with it.
JamesBlond008 Posted November 28, 2017 Posted November 28, 2017 The EU Vat Number is not a guaranty that the Customer is a real Registered Trader. What if the Customer takes a VAT number from another Company for Registration?
zimmer-media Posted November 28, 2017 Author Posted November 28, 2017 @jamesblond008 thanks, we know that. Maybe I should have asked my question a little bit differently. The customer will only be released after a check (or transmission of his dealer proof). Not everyone should be able to register easily. The customer list would probably be too big otherwise. My client wants as little extra work as possible.
