@alwayspaws Upload the new theme to your test site and see if it works. If you don't like it you can uninstall it and go back to the default theme.

@jnsgioia Sounds good. Thanks! Wanted to do a couple of tests at the same time like testing the upcoming migration tool and the new theme. I guess I'd better slow it down a bit. :)

I would, just do it all on your test site and then if you like it there you can move the whole shebang to your live domain. btw Siteground's backup function is a life saver :)

I have two test sites and one live site and was trying to get rid of one of them. Siteground keeps several backups of your site. Very happy with them.

@jnsgioia You're doing pretty well for someone who is new. I began with Magento for year. wiped the site and began with PS 1.6 and now I'm going to wipe that site and use thIrty bees.

That's the plan!

A local installation is just fine for testing. sudo apt-get install apache2 libapache-mod-php mysql and one has a fine web setup accessible via http://localhost/. These webhosters use the same software, after all.
