Embed a YouTube video to my store in a separate window...

I am considering having a designer make a 30 second video advertising my business. I'd like to have the video play when someone visits my site in one of the 'blocks', if that's what they are called. Is this possible?

Of course. Use some html block for whatever you want and upload your vid to youtube and embed it.

Yes, just when you copy the embed code @ youtube uncheck most of the checkboxes so that the vid appears clear, without controls, etc...

I see how to add a block, but it's forcing it to be at the bottom, squished to one side.

See how it's squished all to one side? And at the bottom? How do I make it go across the entire bottom, OR in a special block like this: www.bryankollar.com/help-thanks.png

There isn't an option for that. :( It just allows me to enter text.

You will probably have to enable left column in your theme in order to display this block on all pages. If you want to show it only on homepage I think it could be done.
