Can we please have normal customer order reference numbers? This is not at all helpful: YBXLQLGHH

It was one of the most asked feature back in ps times. We use a module for it. My opinion for such topics is always the same:

Give the merchants the option to chose!

That is true and I haven't thought of it, but I want to start the numbers at something very high. :)

The module let you tell how many dogits and if you want some in the beginning like AP- and then the random number

It shouldn't need a module to do this it should only be a few lines of code that need to be changed, perhaps only one line of code. I'm not familiar enough with the codebase to say where that line of code is but perhaps someone else here is. When it's pointed out it should be very easy to edit.

Yes, this is by Superstar Nemo but it uses overrides and I no longer want to use an override.

Once I install it, I'll see what it does. I can use my own random numbers and change them from time to time but @Havouza said the module takes care of that.
