New user / Site crashes.

Question

Posted

Someone from a module I purchased, has logged into my backend and set it up for me.

Now when a new account is made, the site crashes on them.

You should try asking for that person to fix it. Try disabling the new module and try if it still crashes.

Disabled it, error still happens. Asked him, he said he's only responsible for getting the module to work - which apparently it does, but I can't test it because I can't make a new account.

AND, it clearly worked beforehand.

Well there goes customer service for you, trashing your project but hey, the module is working.

I think the most you can do is ask him what he edited, get a fresh copy of Thirtybees and then just try and "patch" any changes he made.

Right?! I’ll never use that guys stuff again. I ended up fixing the issue myself after hours of testing, but I still get an error when I use the module.

I did message the guy about it - but have yet to hear back at all.

it seems to work with the error still showing up in the backend anyway.

Disabling is often not enough. Even uninstalling is sometimes not enough. The module should be remove from your modules directory.
