Unknown column 'cache_visitors' in 'field list'

Hi, I am trying to activate and use the affiliate system but when I create new affiliates I get the following error and I can't create anything and I can't go on.

Unknown column 'cache_visitors' in 'field list'.

Can someone please help me.

Could you put that into layman's terms please?

Well id did not work and we applied the changes proposed in githup.
