What rounding are you using? There is an issue in that PayPal expect rounding in a certain way, where as in TB we can adjust it

I can’t quite remember but something like they insist on rounding per line - and they do their own calculation. If you are using discounts and more than 2 decimal places and the wrong type of rounding then the future PayPal calculates does not match what TB / Prestashop is sending to them so the report back fails

There are a few discussions on the prestashop forum about this

So then it would not be a bug but more a configuration

Caused us issues because we have low value items with qty discounts so the prices never matched

Well, I'm not using paypal at all.
Site worked perfect until about a month and a half ago.
This thread confirms it's an issue with the cart as people have used different ways of processing. The issue stems with the payment portal not returning back to the site to finalize the order.

Hopefully the module I purchased tonight, that does everything "in house" solves this.

You not the only 1 that for sure. I have lost hundreds and I have proven a lot of them with emails and the customer saying they could checkout correctly.. The 3 page checkout has vastly improved things.. Been 2 years with hardly any sales..Also a shame TB doesn't pass for on site payments easily like Zencart. Things are finally looking up

I purchased a module this time instead of using a free one. Moneris said the one I purchased processes a different way - people never leave my site and thus, it should work more smoothly. $200 for it (Canadian), but if it works then it's worth it.

If you want to send brand new email, then follow these steps:

    1. ftp to your site
    2. go to mails directory in your theme/language, for example /themes/niara/mails/en
    3. create <email_name>.txt and <email_name>.html files (or copy existing email templates and save them under new name)
    4. edit email templates, and insert appropriate {placeholder} into it -- these will be replaced with the actual data
    5. go to consequences module, and you will see this new email template available for use. If you select it, you will need to map all {placeholders} from the template

I have some time tonight to finally work on this. I may of mis-spoke. Doing this, the site should send out TWO emails now per order, right? An invoice, and the one I set up via this?

Yes, I have found using Prestashop / TB for nearly 10 years that this is a thing. It is sporadic, and using different modules / payment systems.

Never got to the bottom of it as infrequent errors and next to impossible to track down. I suspect that it is caused by a momentary 'down time' of either the payment api or prestashop itself. For example when the server software is updating itself or something

April first to about a month ago. Zero issues. Since then, constant. I was considering buying a $200 module in hopes that this would correct itself, but if it's a known issue, why would I spend anymore money, or keep using this platform?

You can also use my Consequences module to achieve this

Thanks! Downloaded it, but can't find where in the admin I can set up an entirely new email to be sent via your module.
I can't even find where to alter a pre-existing Status, or Email Template?

It's not what you're looking for, but a work around would be to have different order statuses and send different emails based on the status. You could automate the change of order status so you don't have to do it manually.

You're right, it's not. I'd like the double email for the main reason that people "should" see the second email saying "About your order", and be like "What is this?!" Then they'd read it and have the answers to their questions, that were in the invoice anyway.

  7. I have info about shipping, and order pick ups at the bottom of the invoice people get when they place an order... but more people than not, don't seem to see it, read it, or even check their invoice.

    It's annoying.

Is there a module, or a way, or a feature, that will allow the site to automatically send TWO emails when an order is placed?
One that sends the invoice, and another that sends shipping/pick up information, etc.?

    Thanks.

  8. Being in Canada, and not wanting to use PayPal, I use Moneris for my processing.

Lately, people have been making orders, and then being returned to the site with nothing in their cart.
The order doesn't process, but Moneris takes their money. I then have to manually process the order for them (The cart is still there on my end).

    It happens sporadically.

I'm using a Prestashop payment module for Moneris. I've talked to the creator of it, talked to Moneris (who "says" they're investigating it - been two weeks).
The creator says his module works great, he tested it, and everything is as it's supposed to.

I'm not looking for help with the module... I'm wondering if anyone else has run into this issue, and how you resolved it.
    Thanks all.

  9. I have some items on my site that I won't ship. So I have them pre-selected with "PICK UP" as the only shipping option.

However, I guess it doesn't matter when someone adds that to the cart, with an item that ships.... because someone placed an order for a massive playset that I don't ship, and it went through with shipping.

How can I turn that off? I thought I already did?

But it is fixed like that? This button is very easy clicked by mistake 🙂 It happened to multiple merchants before 🙂

It is... it's at the bottom now for some reason, but it's all good!
    Thanks!

    🤣🤣

Seriously: on the top right corner there is a button for demo mode. I guess, this is activated...

Seriously. Some strange shit is going on with this site lately. Things being changed that I never changed... like this.

    Thanks!

  12. So my site has been up since April 1st. (no joke!)

I'm wondering if any one has any suggestions, or critiques about it thusfar.

As with all sites, it's never "done", just always a work in progress.

    www.bountyhuntertoys.com/products

    Thanks!

  13. I have multiple shipping options.
My "Pick Up Order at store" says Free shipping.
My "Shipping price will be emailed" says Free Shipping.

Both of those however, are ON the shipping page where you should select your option.

The paid before that, says FREE SHIPPING for every single order. That's what I want changed. It seems none of the info above relates to this section.

Have you checked your shipping weights in products .. Package weight is set to default of zero

Don't know if this is your issue https://www.prestashop.com/forums/topic/246828-free-shipping-for-only-some-of-products/

What has helped my a lot in the past is googling eg "Prestashop+your issue" have found many solutions

My site isn't set up via weight. I work off a price based system for shipping. And in truth, this is happening BEFORE it even hits a shipping page (as shown above). There shouldn't be a "Free Shipping" line there at all since shipping options haven't been presented yet.

Have you checked your price rules and shipping rules

I have. I've changed the amount and it still says this before checkout.

Unless I should be doing it in a specific section?

The problem is, for "Pick up order", the amount can be anything, but for legit Free Shipping, it's supposed to be more.

The site says "Free Shipping" on even a 0.75 cent item - before choosing a shipping option.
