  1. It is not off topic in my book! I love Twitter. Thanks again for this! I stayed away from hootsuite bc I don't think they have a free version any more, but will check it out again. We'll be successful now that we're at #thirtybees

  2. I just read that "you don’t have to run an active campaign to use the Google Keyword Planner, but you’ll need to fully set up an Adwords account".

Does anyone here use the Google Keyword Planner who does not run Google adword campaigns?

Reference: http://backlinko.com/keyword-research which I got from this article from my subscription to Website Magazine:

    Thanks!

The best mail provider is, IMO, Google. However it costs $5 a month per user. You can have more than one email address for no extra charge but they will all end up in one mailbox.

There are other hosted solutions too, such as hosted Microsoft Exchange which can also be very good. Like Google Apps this is typically around $5 a month for a reasonable amount of storage on a reliable host.

Zoho offers a free hosted mail service for domains with up to 12 users. There are some caveats however including that there is absolutely no support provided for their free accounts. Zoho is a decent option but it's definitely not as good as Google Apps. In the end you get what you pay for.

Cloudways also offers an addon solution, email hosted by Rackspace. I don't know much about this as I haven't tried it (we use Google Apps) but it seems it costs $1/month per email address. If you only need one email address then this might be the easiest & cheapest solution.

I like Google but do you use an @gmail.com account or alwayspaws@---- at what?

    @lesley

We use rackspace for thirty bees mails. It seems to work well.

    Good to know.

It still doesn't make sense for me to move from SiteGround to Cloudways because I can't afford a VPS. I guess my part of these questions is for future reference. I have high hopes. lol!

  4. I asked Jonny Li aka sunnytoo - the developer of the Transformer and Panda themes if he will support thirtybees and he doesn't have time, because he's working on PS 1.7 updates. I just visited @lesley's link above and posted this:

Hello, Jonny, I am very successfully using your Transformer Theme with thirty bees (https://forum.thirtybees.com/) and more and more people are leaving PS to come and join us. Many of us use your Transformer or Panda Themes and we are a very forward-thinking group. I hope you'll have time to look at it because I'm pretty sure that you'll see how easily you can adapt your themes to our open source web development model.

  5. Does anyone here use cloudways and a third party mail system? If you do, please share your thoughts on it and what the best third party mail system is ... before I ask the thirtybees team to create one! lol!

lol, so my (angry) post had some use :P

Yeah, the module never really worked on 1.7. I can remember how the first 1.7.0.x couldn't even accept payments directly (set to Payment accepted status would crash the Front Office). It looks like it runs a lot better on thirty bees though ^^

I have not migrate yet, but I am here also because that post hahaha

That's wonderful, @rubben1985 I'm sure the more you hang out here, the more you'll want to migrate. :)

I'd like to see that (angry) :( post! :) You're very useful, Michael, which is why we keep you around. lol!

Everything runs better on thirty bees!

I was using MDekker's stripe module on my PS 1.7 site (which I was having some issues with) and saw a reference to TB on the PS forum when he said he wouldn't be supporting the module there anymore so I went looking for it.

It's amazing but terrific how we have all gathered here! PS 1.7 has brought a lot of issues to merchants that we can do without. Thanks for looking for @mdekker's module!
