Question

Posted

I downloaded some modules from the thirty bees site.

Birthday Gift, Reviews, Price Alert.

I am able to select the files to upload, it looks like it is doing it, but then nothing is added.

I am NOT getting any errors.

This is a fresh install, with the "Bleeding Edge" updates being performed.

Does anyone have any ideas on this??

Thanks!

I'm pretty sure what the problem is. The file uploaded has to have the same module as the module. In your picture, you should rename the file (deleting -master) *after* uploading it.

Then it will appear at the bottom to press install button.

Good luck.

Thank you for your help on this!

You were right, but I had to take it a step further. Inside the zip, that folder had "-master" added also. Once I unzipped, renamed the folder and then re-zipped. It worked fine.

Why does thirty bees have it on their site wrong like that? Every single one that I downloaded I have to fix.

Thanks again!

i am not 100% sure. but at least 98% 😉

1.
if you have the zip file from github it is normal. The master zips don't work like that. upload - install. always download the latest version from github.

2.
if you downloaded the file from the TB shop, it was probably integrated incorrectly there by mistake.

if option 1 applies, then it is normal from my point of view, I know this from prestahop.

As I see the first picture (upload -> birthdaygift-master.zip), you have not logged into the TB shop, you just followed the link and downloaded the wrong file.

To download the current version, register in the TB shop or switch from master to tag on github

simple click master - switch to tags - change your liked version (most the latest) -> then download ........
and modul install works 😉

I actually downloaded them all from GitHub. The link on TB Store did not work. So I right clicked on the GitHub link, and then downloaded that zip.

I did not know about doing the tabs part though.

Thanks!

If you are registered in the TB-Shop, the downloads in your customer account should normally work. Personally, I am not aware of any problems.
Maybe try a different browser.

When downloading from Github, the easiest way is to switch to tags to download the latest (current) version.
The version should be visible in the zip file and not master.

No matter whether here at TB or free modules from Prestashop that are compatible with TB.

Actually, this should be the only way.

The download link @WildToddMan used is to clone / download repository content. That's not necessarily the same as a ready-to-use module. Many modules must be *build* in order to have working product
