30knees
In the backend under Localisations>Translations, I can select the "Core (no theme)" and a theme. If I select "Core", will translation apply to all themes unless there's a specific theme translation that overrides? I've been selecting "Theme" but would want my translations to survive even if I change the theme. Thanks Edited December 12, 2023 by 30knees
the.rampage.rado
I had always done my translations in the theme section. I don't know what is the difference other than the front office section but now I'm too old to ask as it works... 🙂
x97wehner
I've had this thought before as well. I've done all mine at the theme, but wish in retrospect that I had done the alternative.
30knees
I guess we could move the translation file and replace the name of the theme in the file with 'prestashop'? Example: $_MODULE['<{chex}ecom>app-translation_7dc22e32549bs0d191b5a75fb87fcfd2'] = 'Hello'; to $_MODULE['<{chex}prestashop>app-translation_7dc22e32549bs0d191b5a75fb87fcfd2'] = 'Hello'; Edited December 15, 2023 by 30knees
