Catalog> Products> Edit or Add new product, Tab (500 Internal Server Error)

Hi I have a problem with updating or listing a new product. It varies what tab or tabs are highlighted. I press F5 and it will be OK, until I update a tabs contents, it then displays the same error as in the picture below, and the "Save and Stay" and "Save" buttons continue to spin and nothing is saved . Hopeing someone can help. Cheers

Can you check your error log to see what the 500 error is in the log.

It looks like your server is running out of memory. Can you set your php memory limit higher.

Thanks for your reply lesley. It is surprising that the server is running out of memory. I have a thirty bees recommended hosting partner a2. I can’t change the memory limit myself it is set at Resource Limits maxexecutiontime 30 Resource Limits maxinputtime 60 Resource Limits memory_limit 256M I will contact a2 to set the php memory limit higher, what limit would you recommend?

No, something is wrong if it is using that much memory. It should only require about 32mb on that page. In the Advanced Settings -> configuration is it showing 256mb?

That setting was from Cpanel> PHP configuration.

Something must be misconfigured to use that much memory. Do you have any modules installed? How big is your catalog?

Hi only using the standard modules and have 20 products. It seems to be a common problem inherited from prestashop. I will do some testing with Advanced Parameters> Debug Mode>etc https://stackoverflow.com/questions/43043409/prestashop-1-6-1-11-500-internal-server-error-associations-bytes-exhausted

Hmm, it is something that should not be in our version. Our demo sites run on less memory than that.

@ Acemcputer please jest uninstall cross selling module and say your localization tax setting yes or no ? if no jest try to yes
same issue i solved this way

I have looked into this problem further. As I said earlier I use thirty bees recommended hosting partner A2, using CloudLinux. The 500 errors continue along with 404 errors. I contacted A2 and tthey said Sorry to hear about the problem you are experiencing. This happens because you have used all the resources and hit the limits for your hosting account: Your site has been limited within the past 24 hours CPU resources were limited for your site Virtual memory resources were limited for your site I/O usage resources were limited for your site

Below are a couple a screen shots. This is a relativly fresh install of 1.0.2 via softalicious. with 70 products

I think that the A2 hosting is not adequate to host 30 bees. Does anyone have any idea? cheers
