  1. I don't know the reason of choosing the Crowdin as a l10n platform, whe i saw the prices for the very first time, i realized this is not right platform for a FOSS projects. So, why not launchpad?
  2. BTW, the UBUNTU project provides some translation functionality similar to crowdin's. Will we try it? UPD: Actually, not exactly ubuntu. To be more exact - this is launchpad: https://help.launchpad.net/Translations UPD1: Why not to try github as a translation storage also?
  3. I think, all translations won't be more than 10Gb total, so the simpliest way is to store it on the google drive or some other cloud storage.
  4. One small question: have somebody heard something about SPHINX full-text search engine for MySQL? It already has modules for PS1.6 connection. http://sphinxsearch.com/ As its dev say, it is very fast and has reasonable memory consume.
  5. I tried to use codelobster + xdebug with no success. That's why i'thought to chose feature-rich ide such as netbeans.... Anyway, thank you for help, i'll try Visual Studio Code
  6. I need something more, than a text editor. I need tool for debugging also. Is the VS code suitable if i'll install it on windows environment along with windows versions of nginx, php and mysql? Should i install some extra software, like a node.js?
  7. Panda theme's module "theme editor", 'Header & mobile header" section, "MOBILE HEADER" subsection (at the very bottom of the page), there is switch "Display a text "menu" along with the menu icon on mobile version" Also, you have to create your own menu in the "Megamenu" module, in that menu you can select needed glyph for menus
  8. I need to integrate our local Russian delivery service into PS/TB. There is payed module for this service, and probably i'll buy it, but it has not all features, and seems it's developer does not working on it anymore. Also there's another great delivery service, yandex.delivery, which also has no integration into TB/PS
  9. Now i don't have a TB or PS1.6 working installation, maybe tomorrol i could see how to do this
  10. I mean, first you have to filter modules by author 'sunnytoo' in your BO, then take a look at the 'custom links' module, or something like this.
  11. Folks! I need to make new module, it is russian-specific, related to delivery integrator's service. I'd like to try to do it by myself. But i don't know how to deploy the dev. environment in the netbeans IDE (i chose it because it free). Kindly asking for any help in this way.
  12. @alwayspaws I\ll try to guess... You using the transformer v3 which is for PS 1.6 version, right? So, as far as i understood, theme's authors have moved such stuff, as custom links, custom contents to their respective modules. First you should search that modules, one-by-one, very thoroughly for this links presence. As for envanto - usualy i sign in and simply click on the "### comments" link (### - means number, now it is near 2900), and it opens the last page with most recent comments. Envato's search and sorting are very weird (as it seems to me) :) UPD: and i can see two your comments at the very end of page
  13. I just trying to propose different variants. If this would be popular more and more, who knows what will be then? My proposal is for easing life of some people who has bought that theme and tired of tons of manual editing, which could easily disappear in next theme's release. Let's be realists: despite those theme's authors earns good profit on it and fit adequate technical support at the themeforest, however they wouldn't pay much attention to i18n or l10n. Idea is that such parallel translation could 'spur' them to pay more attention for l10n / i18n, in anyway community will get quality l10n / i18n of theme.
  14. Again, my proposal is to open the github project, or i can deploy seafile storage on my server. For no fee. ;)
  15. @lesley This is exactly why the idea of 'parallel' translation has born - it is very difficult to communicate the theme's author (seems he hasn't enough time for everything). And i've found, that some string resources are hardcoded as a static array members, so they even couldn't be translated without code refactoring
  16. What will we do? Github? Subforum? TB's documentation project? Also i have my own seafile cloud storage deployed. Could it be suitable for that purpose?
  17. @alwayspaws said in Transformer Theme = How Compatible?: Is it possible to transfer all the translations you two have worked on at Crowdin The fun is that most of my translation for 'transformer' theme isn't on the Crowdin. Crowdin stores only transformer v4 translation, which is suitable only for PS 1.7, and yet is incomplete. My translation is related for PS 1.6, what means it suitability for TB as well. Not a long time ago i've thought to wipe it out from my pc - until found out the TB :) UPD: Why not to make our effort on the TB's documentation project, or even better on the github?
  18. @occam, @alwayspaws To tell the truth, i really don't know. this was just a proposal. I supposed, that the business-related stuff is better to address for TB owners/maintainers, and that's why i've mentioned @mdekker and @lesley. If they decide, that this is burdensome - ok, let's find something opensource/free-of-charge. For instance, i can supply part of my dedicated server for that purpose. But then we should decide what and how to deploy on it.
  19. No one of machine traslation services can't give quite adequate translation. I'll try to explain: in my native language there're three forms of plural. It is kind of sudoku puzzle unraveling when trying to translate from English to Russian. Same thing, i beleive, in German language - just remember 18 kinds of past tense :) I have following suggestion/question to @mdekker and @lesley : is it possible to make a sub-project for crowdin TB translation, where community could store its own version of translations for Panda, Transformer and Warehouse themes?
  20. I know it is quite poor of features. I just offered it as a start platform. But custom grid system ... it kills my idea in the root :)
  21. Probably you right - the developers are concentrated on the "mainline" development, without "unnecessary" amenities, such as non-english support. The reason, as it seems to me, is that they have quite small dev and support team, whose resources barely enough to support existing theme in a consistent state. In favor of them i can tell, that there are very few alternatives for that theme. I didn't tested the themeforest's Warehouse theme, but other themes in different stores are look ugly for me. I have an idea: there is a theme in the themeforest, called "Autumn". Its author have finished working on it for a long time ago. Is it possible to contact him in order to make it kinda opensource for TB? Or can we take it as a base to develop something better?
  22. I've made a Russian translation of transformer v3 and offered it to include in the official distro, but no answer. The problem also is that some strings are the static array members, so if someone like to make it translatable, then he/she should change the code: a)make array strings uninitialized b) move string values to the constructor and initialize it there c)add checks, that initialization made only once d)only after that workarounds it would be possible 2 translate all strings. The sad thing is that author does not going to include that in his theme distributuion.
  23. Well, i have an excellent possibility to start couple of ecommerce sites from scratch. Will see, will try to log my attempts to make it alive. I think, the cache management is one of the killer features of TB - that's why i'd like to try TB
