    @lesley I’m not asking for city level taxes. The state taxes are not being applied to the cart correctly. Customers are being charged at my state tax rate, not their own.

    Thanks @30knees If you send updates and don’t hear anything back, you don’t know whether it’s received or in spam. Or even if it went out.

    For example: “The total sales and use tax rate in New York City is 8.875%. This includes: New York City local sales and use tax rate of 4.5% New York State sales and use tax rate of 4%” My cart only adds 6% sales tax.

    I want to tweak it a little bit. Why does it have to have brackets around my store name in the subject? Also I’m trying to confirm that these emails are actually being sent so if I get a copy I know it sent. Presently I only get email notifying me of an order. That doesn’t mean that my customer is getting these updates when I update the status in the order section. Please correct me if I’m looking at this the wrong way. :-)

    State by state the tax rates vary but the rates are not being properly applied. I have my state tax entered for in-state sales but the same rate is being applied everywhere in the 48 contiguous USA.

He’s on your site FIVE YEARS. Please reconsider your decision. It was an honest oversight by a very dedicated member of your site who has been working extremely hard with multiple themes and superior tech support. I stand by him. and:

    @Traumflug There is no one more willing to learn how things work, but there is only so much time in a day. I have to devote my time to adding products and configuring my site. I don't have the time nor the inclination to deal with shell commands, which I believe are terminal commands on the Mac, which I have run several times to fix my or other people's problems with computers.

    I was offered an extra 5% off over their 10% discount but that wasn’t enough of a savings for me, so when the time comes, I’ll go with the startup option. It’s fine for me at the present time and if I ever need more I’ll upgrade.
