Front office favicon

Since I updated to 1.01 the favicon on the front office has changed to a question mark. The back office one is fine. I have cleared cache and browser history.

Its created as an ico 16x16

The favicon now seems to be working in Chrome on Windows but not in Firefox yet. So something changed somewhere... I'm really thinking it's a file format issue and that Chrome and Firefox read the .ico file differently.

I found a most excellent favicon site: https://realfavicongenerator.net/

You can use it to test your site's current favicon and get a report about what problem(s) it might have, and you can use it to generate all the different favicons required, together with all the HTML required for them.

@mdekker, is 30bz compliant with all the different favicons needed for different types of devices?

My favicons work perfectly (shouldn't have said THAT out loud. lol) on my desktop, but look at them on my iPhone 6. They are also this way on my iPad Mini 3.

Yup, so many different icons needed for different devices, and different HTML needed in the header of each page as well. Annoying, but worth it.

I figured that since you mentioned 1.0.2 that it might be coming along soon. Excited to see what changes it contains! :grinning:

I tested it on my server. I see now favicons in Firefox, which didn't show up before. But I think there is still a problem with multistore. It adds to every shop the same icon in Firefox (in Chrome & Edge it's correct).

But just the fact that it works on any mobile device is good news for me.

I just cleared all the website data in my settings for Safari (browser for iOS) and it still shows the question mark, so I'll just wait for TB 1.0.2

Apple devices are quite different than android ones. Did you upload required fav icons for apple devices @alwayspaws?
