add block not showing in front end

HI I have been trying to add a left block to the columns in thirty bees but it does not seem to show.  This is the code used in the below block,

I tried a couple of different Hooks Footer, left column block, before new products but none seem to work?  Don't know what I am doing wrong?

If hook is set to Left Column Blocks, it should work right out of the box.

However, it will show up only on the pages, for which left column is set to enabled

I went in check and I have left columns turn on, any can you think of any other reasons? Also I see in the left column where new products are the pictures are not showing of new products, could this have anything to do with it?

Hello. I had the same issue. I tried to add a simple HTML Custom Block in "Homepage Content" to check if this feature worked. Nothing appeared on the homepage.

Here is what I did to make it work.

I checked Modules & Services > Positions. I searched for module "HTML Block" and saw that it was not present in any available hook.

I then clicked on "Transplant a module", choosed "HTML Block" and added it in the hook displayHome ("Homepage Content"). In your case you should use displayLeftColumn ("Left column blocks")

Hello Fleurial, That has worked perfectly, but now I have two in the left column and only the new one showing in the html block to be edited. How do I find out where the out is comming from?

Hi Ron, how many blocks are listed in the "HTML Blocks" and what is their respective hooks?

For example, there is a sample "Store Information" block attached by default to the "Footer" hook.
