Need to default a checkbox to checked on Chex module - How?

Wondering how to make the newsletter box default to checked in the Chex module at checkout. I'm not in a GDPR country so need this to function this way. Can someone advise how to make this happen? maybe @datakick

Default values for fields are not supported at the moment, they will be in the next version. 

Also - if you have visitors from EU then your site have to be GDPR compliant. The fact that you are from non-eu country does not absolve you from the responsibility. Granted, you will probably never be sued or fined, but you could be.

Yeah, I'm quite familiar with GDPR regulations. It doesn't apply to our business so we have adopted an opt-out model for that reason. We just need the software to support it. Glad to hear about the update in next release.
