Free Compatible themes and Modules

As we know, "Free Compatible themes and Modules" for ThirtyBees are in short supply. As are paid for modules.

I have started a website / blog / testbed system where we can test PS 1.6 themes and modules to see if they work

My website, https://blog.haylau-4-thirtybees.co.uk/. will have three main areas

  • A blog to highlight PS 1.6 themes and modules that I have found and tested. There will be links to Front and Back office to test them for yourself (https://blog.haylau-4-thirtybees.co.uk/blog/)
  • A business directory for ThirtyBees specific products (support websites, modules, themes)
  • The business directory will also have a category for your own ThirtyBees powered websites - every link counts!)

When I test a new module / theme I will update this thread

If you have ThirtyBees specific product, or ThirtyBees powered website you can add your own details to the directory or contact me and I can add it for you

If you want to test a module / theme you have on a fresh install then let me know and I will set one up for you

I was looking for something a bit like this but did not have the time / talent to do it.

My idea was a site-specific search engine searching links from https://trends.builtwith.com/shop/thirty-bees or https://trends.builtwith.com/websitelist/thirty-bees , excluding links on those pages to similar software. A shopkeeper who uses Thirtybees to sell something could search other Thirtybees sites in case there's one selling the same thing, and check how that other sites tries to solve the same problems whether by buying modules or tweaking the code or whatever. Programs like https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Xenu's_Link_Sleuth are good for getting a list of links from a page so that they can be edited before adding to a custom search engine.

It's a long time since I last did this, but I remember that https://www.freefind.com/ and now Bing and Google allow site search for anyone with the patience to set it up.

Well I have fizzled-out; this is not really a great idea but just a suggestion that somebody else might do something - or not.

Great news - CSS Magician works on ThirtyBees and is supported.

https://www.presta-magician.com/en/accueil/11-module-prestashop-theme-maker-css-magician.html

I am currently installing a demo and will write a review in the next day or so

So there were a few teething problems, but all now seems to work

You can see my review of CSSMagician and a demo site to test it here:

https://blog.haylau-4-thirtybees.co.uk/css-magician/

A theme editor rather than a theme, but has some great features

Great news, I managed to grab a test version of Creative Elements – Elementor based PageBuilder v1.4.10.3 – by WebshopWorks It works on Thirtybees (thanks to @zen for the heads up)

You can find a very quick review on my blog. But also I am leaving the demo open for anyone to test.

This is awesome.. with not so much dev it can be a real thing to help Thirtybees to remain competitive and attractive for new users and people who wnat to manage their design themselves.

What's next ? If that is the new default templating system for TB 1.4 it will just be super great, also it can be outside TB.. maybe payed theme with support and a lot of models, what do you guys think ?

It would be awesome if Thirtybees could  purchase a licence for this software so it becomes core. But I guess that should be another thread

I have reviewed WordPress plugins that show ThirtyBees products on a WordPress site.

Slim pickings I am afraid, but a couple work with a small easy tweak

https://blog.haylau-4-thirtybees.co.uk/wordpress-plugins-for-thirtybees/

Great news - I have been working with the developer of one of the modules that did not work (Presta Products for WordPress By Guillaume BOUAUD_ - and now it does and it is good - and regularly updated.

I have also installed a demo Wordpress site so you can see and play with the modules that work!
