Havouza Posted March 3, 2017 Posted March 3, 2017 Hi! I installed the cron module and it say that I should add this "0 * * * * curl -k "https://www.beautyandpleasure.co.uk/module/cronjobs/cron?token=97a0474891e8bfc25b3e1cc099e7f187" to my cron task manager. I run a vps with Plesk Onyx. Where should I add this line?
wakabayashi Posted March 3, 2017 Posted March 3, 2017 I don't know for Plesk since my PS is installed on cPanel. There I have a Cron-Jobs Tab... Maybe you should just ask your server provider about it...
Havouza Posted March 3, 2017 Author Posted March 3, 2017 I have a cron job tab also. I can choose for commands, php script. When I add it as a command I get an error. I will ask the provider. Thanks
wakabayashi Posted March 3, 2017 Posted March 3, 2017 Mine looks like this: I think it should be self explaining...
wakabayashi Posted March 4, 2017 Posted March 4, 2017 But that means that a cron job is exectued every minute or not? Doesn't that claim the server too much?
Havouza Posted March 8, 2017 Author Posted March 8, 2017 I dont know how to implement this command in my Plesk. Is it the same if I use the alternative run a script and set the intervals to 1 minute or whatever
Havouza Posted March 8, 2017 Author Posted March 8, 2017 This is how my cron setup looks in Plesk Onyx 01488968252744Screenshot 2017-03-08 12.00.34.png image url)
Havouza Posted June 14, 2017 Author Posted June 14, 2017 No I gave up and now use the normal Plesk cron module.
wakabayashi Posted June 14, 2017 Posted June 14, 2017 How is this one called? I am now on plesk too and struggle a bit with the cron jobs...
alwayspaws Posted June 14, 2017 Posted June 14, 2017 @Havouza said in Cron Module: I installed the cron module and it say that I should add this "0 * * * * curl -k "https://www.somesite/module/cronjobs/cron?token=234566789" I need to know this answer, also, but use cPanel and my cron tasks manager looks completely different. Where do I enter the the curl-k line it shows at the top of my cron jobs manager? I configured a cron job without adding the curl-k line it shows at the top of my cron jobs manager.
alwayspaws Posted July 25, 2017 Posted July 25, 2017 My cron job has never run. It says "last execution" is never. Is there a way to force it to run?
alwayspaws Posted August 17, 2017 Posted August 17, 2017 @mdekker said in Cron Module: Use "Schedule a task" like this: I don't have "schedule a task" and the cron job won't run. Any ideas, please?
yaniv14 Posted August 17, 2017 Posted August 17, 2017 If you are not familiar with cron, you can see some examples here: https://crontab.guru/
Baarssen Posted August 17, 2017 Posted August 17, 2017 Since long time i dont use the cron modules anymore but setup my crons at: https://www.easycron.com/ Very easy and you can setup additional features, like you get noticed when a cron fails etc. A very reliable solution!
alwayspaws Posted August 18, 2017 Posted August 18, 2017 @Baarssen Thanks for your reply. I checked it out.
alwayspaws Posted August 18, 2017 Posted August 18, 2017 @lesley @mdekker - If either of you has time and no one gives the answer. Thank you. I want to use the built-in cron module from thirty bees - "Cron tasks manager". I'm trying to create a cron job for "reindex" (good suggestion from @spidawebs) On the cron tasks manager page it says: To execute your cron tasks, please insert the following line in your cron tasks manager: 0 * * * * curl -k "https://www.alwayspaws.com/module/cronjobs/cron?token=xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx and then on the reindex page it says: You can set a cron job that will rebuild your index using the following URL: https://www.alwayspaws.com/adminxxxxxxxxxx/searchcron.php?full=1&tokenxxxxxxxxxx I want to know if I enter the two URLs provided in my admin together on one line. Or what do I enter and where, please? I included the screenshot.
alwayspaws Posted August 18, 2017 Posted August 18, 2017 I put it there but it has never run since a month ago. I did it again two days ago and it says never executed. Do I have it entered correctly?

alwayspaws Posted August 18, 2017 Posted August 18, 2017 @mdekker said in Cron Module: You already have an entry for the module in your cPanel scheduled jobs list. Thank you very much. I didn't realize this, but now I know where it is.
vzex Posted August 18, 2017 Posted August 18, 2017 Found this php file on the PS forum and had it set up for TB before a fresh reinstall that seemed to work. Have to give it a second try. File is available for download at PS forum link: Auto Database Backup with "CRON" module https://www.prestashop.com/forums/topic/613659-auto-database-backup-with-cron-module/ Not really a module, but ... th title says all :P "The CRON module is free and already available in PrestaShop Final Solution for PS 1.6 (not yet tested with 1.7) : Put this file : Attached File crondatabasebackup.php 675bytes 43 downloads -> in your admin folder, and then in your "CRON" module config, put one link like this : h t t p :/ / w w w . yoursite . com / youradminfolder / crondatabasebackup.php?securekey=your_key Tip : to find your key look at the other cron tasks ;)"
vzex Posted August 19, 2017 Posted August 19, 2017 Preferably along these lines? :radiobutton: backup :pausebutton: update :playpause: rollback :recordbutton: restore :)
Rich I Posted December 8, 2020 Posted December 8, 2020 I have been recently trying to set up the Cron job module and found the module instructions confusing, here is a great post I found from shoptech on how to use it https://shoptech.media/manage-important-tasks-in-one-place-with-prestashop-thirtybees-task-scheduler-module/
