0 led24ee Posted yesterday at 10:37 AM Author Posted yesterday at 10:37 AM This was created for completely another purpose and this leaves only one e-mail. I need add another e-mail for invoice, but also keep existing email. Theoretically this can be as CC: or BCC:
0 the.rampage.rado Posted yesterday at 10:45 AM Posted yesterday at 10:45 AM Sorry, I was confused by the previous topic. No, currently the client can have only one email. Multiple addresses, yes, but not multiple emails. Moved your question to a new thread.
0 Yabber Posted yesterday at 11:46 AM Posted yesterday at 11:46 AM Why do we need a solution that is only needed in one store out of a million? Let the customer learn how to configure redirects in their email account. One customer wants to send to two emails, and another wants to send to two hundred 🙂 That's what redirects in the customer's email account are for. 1 1
0 led24ee Posted 23 hours ago Author Posted 23 hours ago Ever heard that there are companies where is more than 5 employee ? And they have even financial department. And what a surprise, there are clients who just send letter what they need. They don't log in, they don't search or select something. They just ask and it is my business to find proper item, make invoice and organize transport. Of course if You have never heard about B2B then this may be new. But attitude like this is main reason TB is not popular. There is always some smartass who thinks that things that he has never heard are only for idiots. If You don't have solution then it is pretty easy to just skip this thread. 1
0 x97wehner Posted 20 hours ago Posted 20 hours ago Aside from adding another "Billing email" address to the customer record, which wouldn't be that challenging, automatically interacting with this new field in specific business situations would probably take some heavy lifting of core code. It's a relevant enhancement to request on Github as it definitely pertains to B2B. The complexities would revolve around classifying default email types to know whether they should go to the email 1 or email 2 always and other situations like that. 1
0 led24ee Posted 17 hours ago Author Posted 17 hours ago So there is not easy way to add additional field to "Client address" for e-mail ? Client primary address remains the same, just add field named CC (Carbon Copy) ? Or even this need also core modification ? For example shop e-mail has this functionality. And yes, I have no idea how this is done.
0 x97wehner Posted 31 minutes ago Posted 31 minutes ago Yes, a field could be added to address as well, but that's not a very common practice for systems like this. If you'd like to get this quickly, there are custom modules out that will allow you to make and store custom fields in the system. The datakick module is one of them that I can vouch for https://store.getdatakick.com/en/modules/datakick-data-export-and-import. Your challenge will be using that stored email in your automated business logic. If that is something not needed, then a solution like a module to help you will work well.
